What I have seen of the person JYP, I'd say he's one of the more considerate and nice people in the industry while still adhering to the industry standards. I base most of this on his appearance in Sister Slam Dunk and his interaction with Mamamoo, which of course is still TV. He was quite strict but encouraging to the amateurs girls in Sister Slam Dunk, who wanted to see what being an idol is like. Also the agency is known for providing high quality food and training and are quick to let idols with health issues rest. However he still acts within industry standards, working idols to the bone. He's like the nicest of all the assholes or the least smelly bag of garbage in the dump that is KPop management 😅 I can respect him for that.

2023-04-12 07:25:52 This generation of kpop label CEOs were basically bootstrap startup entrepreneurs who started from nothing to build this unlikely billion dollar industry amidst a worldwide collapse in music revenues. You wouldn't assume them to be nice people. But from them, I always thought JYP would be the nicest in comparison. And the proof for that is actually the reason most commenters talk bad about him. The number of people who leave his company and do well later. Why don't we see the same pattern for SM leavers? That's because SM used to brutally crush & sabotage the careers of people who leave them People who leave JYP always comment that he is hard to work with and makes eccentric (maybe even bad) decisions. But they leave on good terms, he genuinely wishes them the best and they take with them all they have learned (what to do and I guess what not to do) There are so many who have left and done better, both artists & producers, with BigHit/Hybe boss being the most prominent. Even GOT7 Jackson Wangis building a nice business empire in China citing JYP as a positive influence. Despite JYP making numerous mistakes mismanaging GOT7's career.
