- Rosé did a collaboration with the Calm app, which is a sleep aid and mediation app, and she read a story (that app also had collabs with Kate Winslet and other famous actors). The problem is, instead of me falling asleep, I ended up being more awake since I want to hear each and every word she is saying. 😂 - Lisa as a mentor in YWY had been reviewed a lot of times. Some professional dancers and choreographers also reacted to it and they completely understand where Lisa is coming from. Yes, that is a survival show so there might be a bit of a play up but these professionals say her attitude and method is completely normal. Especially given that Lisa had been studying dancing since kindergarten. The discipline and work ethic is ingrained in her. She came there and meant business. But I had the opportunity to watch the series (YWY2 and 3) and she is a very fair mentor, she gives credit where credit is due. She clearly stated too that you have to point out and correct mistakes at the earliest so that it won’t be repeated so she really has to be strict. To be fair, perhaps in the west or in other countries it won’t seem like it is a big deal but we have to remember that Korea is dealing with widespread misogyny and nurses are very prone to being sexually harassed so they are coming from a place of oppression. The sad thing was it was Jennie who got the hate. But the hate did not come from the nurses themselves—it came from the antis and haters. The nurses association directly wrote to YGE, which acquiesced to their request. On a brighter note, the Korean nurses’ association was grateful for YGE listening to them and they even said that they would support Blackpink’s work. -I recommend you watch their Knowing Bros guestings, particularly the 2020 one (they also guested in 2017). They are a riot in variety shows.
