The kings of kpop, indeed. The idols of idols. I am still crying. As a long-time VIP, this hits really hard. Especially when you get to know their stories, the symbolisms in the MV will make more sense. TOP’s verse (the guy in the moon/space), how he is saying goodbye, and the anger and sadness in his eyes. He got embroiled in issues and he also left YG already, and he suffered from mental health issues as well to the point where he thought of taking his life (he admitted this in a recent interview). His verse is acceptance and letting go. The goodbye is also like goodbye to all the pain as he will be starting a new life. That quote is from the Psalms—and it basically says that after all the challenges they faced, it is now a time for joy. Taeyang (the guy on the boat) also has a lamb with him. Like he found his peace. His wife just gave birth to their first child. This is goodbye to Big Bang and a move to their new individual paths. There is no scene of them together. The only scene of them together is the 4 empty chairs. Each of them is in his own scene, representing the seasons as well. The actual title of this song is Bom Yeoreum Gaeul Gyeoul—meaning Spring Summer Fall Winter. Taeyang - Spring (with all the flowers) Daesung - Summer (there’s a lot of sunshine shining through the windows in his scenes) GD - Fall (there is orange tint all over his scenes) TOP - Winter (he is in a desolate, cold world) In itself, the song is very emotional, but it will hit harder once you get to know their stories. GD and TOP wrote and composed this song. Big Bang is one of the first groups to write and produce their own stuff. (Fun fact: they were the group who introduced light sticks. So you could imagine how iconic this group is.)

It is certainly a heavy song. I want to briefly touch on the issues that were raised about Big Bang in the past comments. It is not about the 4 members that you see here, but a former member who I do believe is currently in prison. If you want to look into it, look up Burning Sun Scandal. He certainly belongs in prison, but I don't really want to get into it.
