Quick Project Update (Patreon)

Update: This build has continued to be extremely complicated to get finished. Certain major bugs have come up, and I'm busy at work handling them. Apologies for the additional delay, I will try to get this new build out as soon as possible.

Hi everyone ^_^

Just wanted to write a quick update on everything to let you all know what's going on. If you're just after the short version though, then effectively I'm hoping for a new build within the next 48 hours, with the patron build covering the Jess quest (with a minor exception covered below).

For those looking for the longer version of what's going on ...

The Jess quest is largely going well, with a couple of minor delays related to it. So far I'm finishing up the 9th path for the quest, but do not expect to get the 10th (and final) path complete for this build sadly. As can maybe be guessed, by the talk of 9 paths currently in the quest, there are a lot of options to solve it, some of which are quicker and easier than others, whilst others offer additional insight to the situation.

The part that has been more complex has been the future planning (with some current implementation) of the apartment management system. Two of the conclusions to the Jess quest can result in the player getting Jess to live with you, which along with Alice from her quest means the player now can have two 'roommates'. As a result, the player needs a good way of determining where they'll sleep, what tasks they'll get up to during the day, and just generally managing their home as I build on the players apartment to have various upgrades and expansions.

Because of this, I'm working on some interactions with both Jess and Alice (it felt a good time to give robot Alice some interactions too whilst I was doing Jess), along with future proofing this new management interface. Eventually I'll likely also put together an interactive menu for this new interface, but I need to get everything fully planned out for that first.

So, in conclusion, work is continuing and there should be a new build within the next 48 hours :)
