Hey everyone, and welcome to a new weekly public build. This current build is currently at 775,299 words, and 1256 passages, so about 8k new words since the last update (and probably that again in code).  It's been a while hasn't it? The last month was rather a mess, filled  with fevers, exams and technical issues, though thankfully that is now over. Thanks for sticking it out with me, fingers crossed we should be back to standard weekly output once again for the long-term foreseeable future.

Meanwhile, when written this build got slightly out of hand in my distraction for adding in the new hair system. It was originally intended to be smaller, but I didn't want to have to edit it multiple times so bit the bullet and added in all the major elements. Hopefully as content accessible by everyone it'll be seen as a good addition to the game ^_^

The main content is; The new hair system! The new hair system is comprised of;

  • Overhauling of the hair style attribute to make it more extensible (with lots of associated code). This includes updates to the examine window to better detail the players hair style.
  • 48 new hair images by Silverjile to represent the various player hair styles.
  • Hair growth over time. Players now increase hair length over time (hair length categories have been expanded too).
  • New hair growth related traits that alter growth speed.
  • Fringes!
  • 16 purchasable hair accessories.
  • Minor hair accessories (such as ribbons, beads, clips and mini-bows).
  • Morning hair styling, along with minor associated costs (10 G.G.P for combing, 20 G.G.P for styling, 5 G.G.P / per minor accessory).
  • Professional hair-styling can only be undone by other professional hair-styling!

Other additions include; a big bug fix for the nightwear not changing back issue (thank you chadrach), and I fixed a few minor bugs.

Change Log:

- (Polled) Hair update!

- Players can now create a morning hair styling plan from the dorm bathroom. There are various costs associated with this, and the styling will occur during the morning hygiene and makeup time. The costs are; 10 G.G.P to comb your hair, 20 G.G.P to style your hair, 5 G.G.P / per minor accessory added to your hair (putting in one of your hair accessories is free).

- Detection system to properly represent players hairstyle with an image.

- Hair growth over time. Players now grow a hair category in hair length every 7 days (3 with a special trait). Growing a hair category will ruin your current style and remove your fringe if you have one.

- New trait: Hair Growth Freeze. Costs 500 G.G.P from the Salon and will stop the players hair from growing over time (but not from outside factors).

- New trait: Rapid Hair Growth. Costs 500 G.G.P from the Salon and will lower the time between hair growth to just 3 days instead of 7.

- Players can remove the new hair traits in the Salon for 100 G.G.P. 

- Players now can get fringes at the Salon for 100 G.G.P.

- The Salon now has a series of vending machines which sell hair accessories. There are currently a total of 16 available hair accessories.

- Various overhauls to the Salon and its various interfaces.

- Hair images have been added to various scenes.

- The examine window hair description has been updated.

- There are now 15 categories of hair length compared to the previous 7 with lots of related updates to scenes.

- The inventory window now has a hair accessories section.

- A large amount of code to support the new hair system.

- 48 hair images by Silverjile.

- Nightwear swapping bug fixed (Thank you chadrach).

- A few minor bug fixes
