Raoult's Law - How To Calculate The Vapor Pressure of a Solution

This chemistry video tutorial provides a basic introduction into Raoult's law which says that the vapor pressure of a solution is the product of the mole fraction of the solvent and the partial pressure of the pure solvent at a given temperature. This video explains how to calculate the vapor pressure of a solution with a nonvolatile solute. It also explains how to calculate the mass of solute / glucose needed to reduce the vapor pressure of the solution to a certain value. It also explains how to calculate the molar mass of a solute as well as how to calculate the vapor pressure of a liquid-liquid solution. Finally, it discusses deviations of Raoult's law for ideal and non-ideal solutions.
