This is from our friend JIMY here, thanks to him, good to know stuff:

"I was out for a couple hours and went through about 60 rounds or so, splitting time between shooting and bs’ing with some other guys on the line. It was a beautiful day, about 80 degrees with full sun and 15mph winds that were sort of swirling where I was.   I have the 20” model SFAR with a Vortex Strike Eagle 1-8 FFP scope on it. Not the lightest optic but it worked pretty well with this rifle. I also had my excellent YOSUNPING tactical gloves (thanks for the recommendation). Today were my first shots with the SFAR. The only modifications I made on the rifle were swapping the charging handle out for a Radian Raptor LT, and putting in a generic Amazon accu-wedge last night, as my upper and lower fitment was pretty sloppy out of the box.   I started on the 25-yard line to get it on paper and tune the windage and elevation. I was shooting Remington UMC 150gr ball and Federal Gold Match 168gr Sierra Match King. One thing the guys noticed was that the SFAR was not very unpleasant to be next to, even with the muzzle brake. There was a guy next to me with an 11.5” barrel on his 5.56 AR, and it was far more unpleasant than the SFAR. The other guys agreed and actually were the ones who pointed it out to me.   I had one reliability hiccup. I got through ten rounds of the UMC fine and loaded the Federal Gold Match. After my first shot, the next round failed to chamber and got tipped at a 45 degree angle. I had to drop the mag and pull the charging handle a couple of times to release it. There was some scraped brass on the side of the case. I rubbed it against the bench to get the hanging piece off, put it back in the mag, and fired it off. I didn’t have any other reliability issues. FYI I was running the gas on setting 3.   Overall it was very pleasant to shoot. You knew you were shooting a .308, but I didn’t have any pain or anything and I was in a t-shirt.    With respect to accuracy, it actually liked the UMC ball a lot more than the Federal. Maybe it’s the weight? I’d have to play around with it. Did you find it liked lighter bullets?"
