IISA FN SLP Combat Shotgun in snow (Patreon)
Content
Another fun Is It Still Awesome episode, this time on the excellent FN SLP. But it's a bit more than that I we discuss the role of the combat shotgun in WROL also. Plenty of shooting is thrown in too to include 00 Buckshot and full power slugs at long range. This is the same shotgun that sat out in the desert for 2 months also! Let's see how it does with rusted up shotshells. Filling the need for me shotgun content in TNP (donor requested btw) and again reminding TNP nation of one the better CS ever made, this is a fun feature length IISA.
From Elite long term donor Doug Irelan "FYI. Self Loading Police Shotgun Piston Update FNH USA has recently updated the Piston Springs in the SLP™ MK I shotguns. The result is a single piston that services all loads, 2 ¾” and 3”, 1 ¼ oz and up. This new universal piston is already installed in your SLP™ MK I Shotgun. It is identified with a gold rim on its base and is marked, “FN SLP™ 1 1/2oz and heavier.” Note that in Section 10, page 18 of your SLP™ Owner’s Manual, it references two pistons, one red for light loads and one black for heavy loads. These have been replaced by the single, universal Gold Rimmed piston. In Section 2, page 3, it also references two pistons. Two pistons are no longer needed and therefore not included. Models affected: SLP™ MK I (3088929022, 3088929023), SLP™ MK I Tactical (3088929150, 3088929151) and SLP™ MK I Competition (3088929124)"
