Surprisingly quality and durability at their low price: the Swiss Invicta Pro Diver quartz is a looker. Coming in a variety of hand styles, they feature vibrant colors, a Swiss cross complication, great legibility, and even an enameled back...never seen before in any watch reviewed here yet.

Each has Swiss made components like their gold plated Ronda movements. These are highly recommended at the price levels discussed and I don't see any other makers matching their high value. TNP water testing showed they are ready for water adventures too.

So after watching nutn's smokejumper 44 review it unlocked an interest in getting a watch. I always viewed the watch reviews just to support all the content never having an interest. But as much as I love the smokejumper 44 I know I will be annoyed with the bordered sword hands and the cluttered lines with the micro graduations(?). Recently I took a trip to walmart and came across the Casio mw240-1bv and fell in love. For $15, simply tells time, white on black, big numerals, just minute lines, sword hands without bordering. I've checked the time over a few days and it is still on the second with the cellphone time, awesome! My only gripe is the plastic face(?) and how easily it scratches. I was wondering if it would be possible to replace it with a crystal face. If you have any similar watch recommendations with sapphire I would love to know.

I know I may be crazy for wanting to put a sapphire crystal on a $15 watch but I like it so much that I'd gladly do it if possible. I'm going to buy a couple more on Amazon as well.

A watch day is a good day.
