We love Bowies here. They are fun and invoke a sense of history which we talk about here.  They are also menacing and capable weapons, historically proven.  We like that too. Three will be covered here with TD in attendance: CS Old West Bowie (discontinued), Condor Undertaker, and the Bear & Sons Gold Rush Bowie.

All 3 represent high value pricing...if you can find them. Each has a hollow ground large blade with traditional Bowie guards, handles, sheaths, and blade shapes. Each has its own personality.  Don't expect these to be good woods blades: they don't have the weight. I'll talk about this and show you infield testing in the remote desert (KTM 690 trip). We'll review some of the gruesome history of these blades. And you know what: that's what attracts guys to them. These historical Bowies invoke that sense of awe that knife collectors just like.

Filmed last year, the CS Old West Bowie was available then, now not so much. But they had been mentioned in other KRVs so that was the time to buy! A cool competitive option emerges at the end.

Yeah, sometimes I wonder if I'm just stuck in the past, but I do get attached to things that have a strong character to them. So much formulaic crap these days!
