You don't wear it anymore.  Why?  Probably because you don't like the HANDS or the band sucks for you.  That's usually the reasons we lose enthusiasm for a watch we at one time really liked.  For next to nothing, I'll show you how to RESCUE that watch you've abandoned and once again be excited about it.  Here we will TAPE the watch hands and then apply some custom decals to the watch face.

Yes this is fine detail work and requires some practice; expect to make some mistakes.  But you can do it!  Make those mistakes cheap by practicing on the watches I rec' below, all are xlnt.  If you ever built models as a kid, you again connect with the fun and rewarding process of making things.

I'll show you disassembly, stem removal, taking off the watch hands, taping them, suggested tools and materials, and then some special techniques I came up with to make the process easier.  This is a fun project that again will cost very little (your wife will be happy!) and will reenergize your watch collection again.

I have one of those infantry watches and I can't stand the hands on it or the band for that matter. I love the watch it's super cool it's just quirky. After seeing your video on watch modifying it doesn't seem so intimidating. Thanks again for another helpful topic this gives me a new project to work on.
