We haven't seen an AR47 we liked until now.  And we've tested some hyped big names (see video).  They all choked in addition to often being only moderately accurate.  What's the advantage of abandoning the AK platform for THAT?! We remain big fans of the value 7.63x39mm and have looked for awhile for a more accurate but reliable platform for it.  Oh yeah, it has to be relatively lightweight too (so you can forget the milled receiver AKs which also need complicated optics adaptations).  A POU discussion ensues over the AK vs AR platform and what your considerations should be in developing systems in each.

Enter the surprising Palmetto KS47.  Now granted Palmetto's website remains ATROCIOUS and you can't even find this version on it currently.  But should you be lucky enough to find this version, BUY IT.  For its low cost you'll find it to be the real deal AR47 if this example is any indication.  You might also source the parts from them and just go it alone.

All the basics of the KS47 are covered with lots of infield shooting with crew member Jardine.  Buy from Gunnies b. they made this review possible with this loaner (shhh...I bought it too).
