Can you do long distance trips in a Corvette Gen 7?  We are going to find out.  Let's make sure we got everything first:  Wife?  Check.  Good weather?  Check.  Tunes?  Check.  A place to stay?  Not check!  We launch anyways and do about 700 miles a day.  You'll see wonderful Mrs Nutnfancy in this two part series as we take a 2017 Corvette Grand Sport all the way from Dallas, TX to Salt Lake City, UT.  We love the car and are amazed at the comfort and room it provides; all the luggage fits.  I'll make some road trip observations of the car and we'll talk about lots of fun subjects.

The Mrs is a great companion as always and we have fun.  Topics included here:  eating a found banana off the road, the Corvette's cruise control goes out, where we wrong to trust American car quality?, how we are dealing with our dog Allie's loss [not well], my short stint in flying the F15 Eagle, how much wife even with RA stays in shape, Fairchild AFB deployment schedules, comfort of the Grand Sport Corvette on long journeys like this, racing a 2012 modded Vette in Moab, how my knee is doing these days [future of backpacking in TNP], why Mrs Nutnfancy is a scaredy cat in driving the Vette, proper on road driving etiquette, and more!

That C6 walked you pretty good! 491 to the wheels is legit. Would love to see more of the Vette, especially if you get into any mods. Guns, knives, and fast cars just go together.

As an Altus AFB civil engineer who's taken traffic engineering and geometric highway design all I can describe that as is BAD. SF and CE don't always talk when they decide to take security measures, but someone needs a talking to.
