Starfield Upscaler FG Build Beta 02 (Patreon)

This mod enables DLSS 3 in Starfield.

DLSSFG is only supported by 4000 series cards!

Download

  • I only distribute updates via discord.
  • Link your discord account to patreon and you will get pulled in the server by patreon bot.
  • Download updates in beta-access channel.

Beta 02

  • Added the option to disable FG in menus and delay-enabling it after exiting the menu. This will fixed the game freeze issue in loading screen.
  • Now the game reads your settings for FG when starting.

INSTALLATION

  1. Remember to delete d3d12.dll AND dxgi.dll in the game's root folder if you have installed any other version of the mod.
  2. Extract to game's exe folder, if you have been using ReShade, don't overwrite the ReShade.ini so that you can use your own preset.
  3. If you want the Steam Overlay or your controller is not working, rename d3d12.dll to dxgi.dll.
  4. Enable FSR2 and disable Dynamic Resolution in the game settings.
  5. Press END to open the menu, then authenticate for the first time, no continuous subscription needed, if you have subscribed you can pass the authentication after the subscription expires.
  6. Enable DLSS2 and DLSS FG in the mod menu.
  7. There's hotkey for toggling them, and you can change them in the mods/StarfieldUpscaler.ini.

Sir PureDark, if there’s any way you could make these mods not use keys like “HOME” or “END”, that would be very helpful. Because I use a slim/narrow keyboard that doesn’t have those keys.

Where do i report bugs? I've encountered one where when you try to read logs from your inventory, the screen is just gray. You have to disable the dlss from reshade to be able to read them.

Having issues joining the server atm, getting directed to a page with no text channels when trying to join. Maybe there is a delay with the bot or permissions are not being set properly?

hmmm I cant seem to access the discord, I get an error every time I try to connect the app.....is there anyway to get a direct link to the discord ? id love to start using this dlss mod

It freezes the game, had like 4 freezes in 2 hours most often when use elevators/loading screens. I use Game Pass version if it has something to do...

Working flawlessly, went from 60/70 with the occasional hitch to 100/10 with frame gen on new atlantis.

Getting crashes when exiting inventory as well. Especially when transferring between me and the robot.

So I found a way to fix my little problem, all I did was disable to DLSS then traveled to the planet after. I don't mind turning it on/off for the extra frames

You only need to turn off FG, there's a hotkey, numpad *, but you can change it to what you prefer in the mods/StarfieldUpscaler.ini

I get freezes and crashes when travel to different locations, but sometimes even when going through a door like to talk to Sgt. Yuma. There's also weird stencil outlines on the constellations/star cluster when on a planet looking up. Especially if there's a lot of space gas. Not really sure if it's something that can be fixed. Just thought people should be aware.

Its working flawless with my RTX 4090. I run a 4k 144hz monitor and having a new triple A title run at barely 60fps was driving me crazy. I have a 16core 32thread 5950x CPU which believe it or not gets bottlenecked at 4k sometimes on newer titles. With some online tutorials from hardware unboxed, I only turned down settings where there was no visual impact, but a positive impact to performance. Now I am running a mix of high and ultra, 4k, with DLSS 3 and Frame generation, getting about 120fps-150fps on average. A combination of this mod with smart choices on the settings page has this game optimized and running the way it should have on launch day. Thanks to PureDark when game companies strike deals to exclusively use one tech over the other, we can have a choice as consumers and take advantage of the hardware we paid good hard earned cash for. Great work PureDark, keep it up. I was skeptical on some of your youtube postings, but for sure this works flawlessly. The in game overlay menu is better than most games in game settings.

All you need to do is go over to Patreon, settings, select "more", go to connected apps, and link up your discord account to patreon, you'll be automatically added to the discord server

Are the FG artifacts the same artifacts we would be seeing if DLSS3 was officially supported in the game or is this just a byproduct of DLSS3FG being modded into the game? Just curious

I have freezes as well here and there, but nothing permanent, hope he fix that (didn't try new update yet :s)

Downloaded the new update, love how you made FG auto go off in the menu, you also put all menus. That will come in handy. I was having problems yesterday while trying to go through the inventory. Sometimes it would bug out and black screen, so I can't see my gear. Then I would have to manually disable or press the key bind to disable FG. Now it's a breeze. Thanks! will report back if I run into any bugs.
