Shanna The She Devil (Patreon)

Ok so this is pretty different.

In an effort to bust out of this art block I've found myself in, I started getting back to basics, reading through "How To Draw Comics The Marvel Way" (A classic) and watching a few Proko videos on youtube. In the midst of all that, I realised one of my favourite artists Frank Cho also has a YT channel.

On it he mostly posts timelapse videos of him doing weekly sketches, and this one of Shanna The She Devil just kind of... I dunno, inspired me I guess. I figured it'd be fun to ink it, to work over someone else's pencils. It's not something I've done for a long time (used to do it a lot as a teenager as I had this idea that getting into comics as an inker was easier than a penciller... boy how wrong I was!)

Anyway, it was fun to do, I learned a few things along the way and as it started gathering dust on my harddrive I thought... fuck it, let's colour it! So here we are, a full colour Shanna The She Devil, pencilled by Frank Cho, inked and coloured by me.

I've included the full colour, the flat colour, the inks and Frank's original pencils in the carousel :D
