For some reason, the amount of customers at the Stray Sheep have tripled since Erica got pregnant. Can't figure out for the life of me why...

Erica has been on my list of characters to animate for a while, and when I realised she would be perfect for Pride Month, how could I resist? While it's common knowledge that she isn't treated very well in the game she stars in, it doesn't change the fact that she's still a great character. Catherine is still a great game, but it has some...iffy moments, sadly.

I contemplated addressing some of the issues regarding how she's treated in Catherine, but decided that it would be better to give her the same silly tum treatment as any other character I work with. This must be the True Good Ending she deserves, right? I hope you enjoy this animation, and Happy Pride Month!

Okay, time to return to Bess' animation. It's going fairly smoothly, so expect it in the next 8-9 days, earlier if possible. TTFN!

This has made me think of maybe for pride month you try mpreg something new and different to try to see how does it feel although of course still up to you happy pride month

Great mini-animation! for Erica being transgender which I figured she is but how isn't she treated well in the games? Also you mentioned Catherine the game has its iffy moments but it ruins the game somehow?

There are plenty of articles about this issue, one of which you can read here: https://www.thegamer.com/catherine-full-body-erica-trans-representation-controversy/ And it doesn't ruin the game for me, I still like it a lot. But it would be better if not perfect if not for the issues surrounding Erica (and other issues besides)

Funny it wasn't a issue before when the first Catherine game came out in 2009 but now it is huh?

It was as much an issue back when it was first released as it was with the re-release. It was hoped that the remaster / remake would fix those issues, and for some of the issues, it did. But the re-release also had a lot of other problems, so it's always going to be flawed in some way

Sure, I have no real reason to say no to such suggestions (unless they are a problematic representation of a trans person, which I do not believe applies to Bridget). As for how well would they do in the polls? I have no idea.

I am still unsure exactly how in Catherine when it comes to Erica, she is toxic as a trans person or trans-character? Because if you ask me, it's not like in other media these days, that while trans characters are sort of like these Tokenism type characters for the sake of diversity or brownie points, you know basically force down in people's throats.

Erica is not a toxic character, she's a fairly positive example of a trans woman (if she WAS a problem, I wouldn't have animated her XD). The problem is how parts of the game treat her, all of which are well documented (especially in that article I linked: if you had read it, you would no longer be "unsure"). If you're expecting me to type out all the problem parts of the game, then I'm not going to do that XD

Well noted. And won't have to be necessary. Although I think that Erica's treatment in the game is probably have to do with the fact that given Catherine was made by Japanese game developers, because Japan has this puritan view against LGBTQ, which is strange with all the Yuri & Yaoi stuff they make. Although in Japan 🇯🇵 that does seem to be changing. Especially with recognition of same-sex marriage.
