End of Month Update: December Hiatus, Maoyu + Lady D Status, And More! (Patreon)

Hey friends! End of month update time! First up:

* See that image there? Usually I would say "You get charged tomorrow", but this is not the case—December is my typical hiatus month, and as such, all current patrons will not be charged. You can still change / delete your pledges if you so wish, but bear in mind that if you repledge in December, you will be charged, even though I am on hiatus! (I do try to explain this every year but I see people repledge and spend money they didn't have to. I mean, if you want me to have your money, I'll take it XD)

Why should you stay pledged? Well...

* Even though I am on hiatus, the Maoyu + Lady Dimitrescu (and the Annie animated gif) will be posted in December, as I will be working on them until they're all done. I hope to have everything totally completed by the time Christmas Day rolls around, but we'll see how possible that is. Knowing my luck, I'll be working all the way up to New Year's Day XD. All finished projects will be messaged to November patrons, in case you can't see anything I post in December. 

Side-note for Lady Dimitrescu: With an insane amount of votes, "Overdue" wins with 299 votes! I will begin working on this once I've finished up Maou's animations and the Annie animated gif. Note: as previously stated, both Maou and Lady D will only get one Deluxe. This means that for Lady D, I will likely focus on the sex parts of the overdue for the Deluxe, and not so much the birth parts (or the birth will be quite simple, as three birth scenes (of full-size humans!!) is a quite literal huge undertaking). The alternative is to make the Normal animation very simple, because sex and birth isn't something I can put on YouTube anyway XD. (And birth isn't very popular among my patrons) Once I've finished Maou, I'll do an update with what content I plan to do for Lady Dimitrescu, so stay tuned!

Hey, when is Maoyu's first animation due, btw? So...

* I will admit that I forgot November had 30 days and not 31, so Maoyu will possibly (out-side chance) be finished possibly tomorrow but likely the 2nd of December. I would usually say "definitely the 1st" but I have a few errands / IRL issues to deal with, and a lot of them happen on the 1st or have to be prepared for in advance of the 1st, so that's cutting into the completion time, unfortunately! I am currently on the last scene of Maou's first ep., and I'm about to begin animating and doing all the other stuff to it, so there's not too long left to go! 

Is there anything else to mention? Oh yeah...

* As December is a hiatus month, there will be no polls or Sundoodleday sketches. Hopefully, not having to do these things will help speed up the animation process for the remaining owed animations. Apologies for my lateness with these animations, by the way! I can guarantee they'll be good, but I can't guarantee I'll finish them quickly >_>. For newer pledgers in the $8 + tiers, if you wish to submit a character for January's animated pin-up poll, please feel free to do that here! That has to be everything, right? One more thing...

* If you remember back that far (or were a patron back then), I did a poll last year about changing my schedule to a looser one.  This year was spent taking advantage of this looser schedule, and I think the animations have been better than ever. The time constraints of last year (which I forced on myself, btw) forced a multitude of compromises on quality / ideas, whereas this year I've been able to be a bit more extravagant with content (although I did make that Dr. Asagiri animation a wee bit too long XD). I still have a lot of regrets about some of last year's animations, whereas this year, I'm more or less satisfied with each animation, that I did as much as I could with the character / story (although I did make a boo-boo with Dexter's Mom. Sorry about that!). I hope that you can see that such a change was worth it, and while it does unfortunately mean a longer wait between animations, the quality of the eventual animation will be worth it. Thanks for giving me the chance to take my time more! 

A lot of creators grind themselves into paste in attempting to finish their work, but as I've consistently received messages along the lines of "Take your time" or "don't hurt yourself", I make sure I'm not unnecessarily depriving myself of health or time. Sure, I will still do a very late night if I'm on the cusp of finishing a project and just want it done, but otherwise I go to bed and simply accept I can't finish something for the date I wanted to. As such, this year has been very good for me, mental-health wise, and even if I'm publishing a bunch of projects or have a whole load of work left to do (like now, for example haha), I'm doing it at a pace that isn't causing me woe. The only woe is that I wish I could publish animations faster, but when you remember you're the artist, animator, writer, SFX designer, director, promoter and more besides, you have to accept you are simply human and can only do so much XD.

(I might do a fun poll to see which animation I made this year you liked the most. The result means nothing, but it would be fun to see what people thought of everything I made this year, and what they would like to see more of going forward).
