Lovely. I imagine that both teams sent out their two best players to play doubles. Conjoined doubles. Although I do wonder what their boyfriends think of their new conjoinment. They don't seem averse to each other, maybe they do this often? Perhaps they have to play doubles rather often, and have to stay conjoined for long periods of time in order to practice and become accustomed to the feelings.

In an effort to add a level of complexity to the sport, and drive up viewership, a new type of competitor is introduced...the TANDEM. Tall, powerfully built, muscular players provide the bottom-half, providing raw sprinting and leaping power. While more limber, dexterous players make up the upper-half, providing speed and precision. The difficulties of working together, of forming a cohesive partnership through quick communication, just adds to the dynamic. Most ladies are NOT happy about being made a part of a Tandem competitor, but contractual obligations and the expectations of fandom are powerful motivators.
