Patreon are testing a new way of displaying how much creators are earning. Instead of simply showing the total amount pledged, they’re taking several things into consideration, such as the number of declined payments, transaction fees and their own (patreon.com’s) percentage. This is to reflect more accurately what the final amount per month actually is for the creator. They’re still just trying this out, and it’s not decided yet whether or not this system will stay.

The milestone goals we set previously were designed with Patreon fees and declined payments in mind. I.e., if Patreon chooses to keep this new adjusted dollar amount, we will of course alter the milestone goals to reflect this.

We like this new system since it brings a bit more clarity and transparency into our project, and hope you feel the same way.

Uffff, at first I thought your monthly payout decreased much. Good to hear you guys didn't lose any cash.

So it shows $5700, and it was around $7600 if I recall correctly. A significant decrease.
