ANDDDD the results are in! :D

This is Two Kids Song episode 3 and 4, along with the finished music from all four subgroups formed for this series!

What a creative and fun format this show was. In fact, all Kids series have been a blast to watch. We (obviously) talk a lot during and after about the process, who we would work with based on this video, etc. so stick around, have some fun with us, and let us know YOUR thoughts as well :D

Yes yes yes. The songs are so cute. I love how everyone was doing. Cute and fun lyrics and Felix wanted to make it sentimental to STAY. I have a different Melody your mind go there Han-C 😂😂. I love watching Seungmin and hyunjin work. Lee know with the word play. Minsung is the cutest ever. I absolutely love their bond. Okay. Which one of you was breathing so heavy into the mic? 😂🤣. Seriously, these episodes are so quick. No offense to the other teams but minsung can just talk because Han is a genius. He's going to come up with something brilliant. And they hang out the most so they have a lot of experience just being around each other. So it's fun and entertaining and when they need to buckle down and get serious they do. Wait, can you explain the nicknames that IN was talking about? I know the dangnyangz is something to do with puppy/kitty. What does gagwanz mean? What is maadmakz? I assume the makz is for maknae for I.N. what is bbojakkz?i LOVE that they mentioned chanlix bcuz thats what fans call them. But chance is super cute too. Seriously, these episodes are so short. King of nagging is soooo catchy. lol genius group. Iced Americano is so ridiculously catchy. My favorites were iced Americano and king of nagging. Okay so Han-C is the music maker and D'some is the lyric writer. I love that. Musically I would definitely choose Han because I am a hanpop girly. And my favorite track is definitely between ice Americano and king of nagging. Lol, even though im ot8 my ult is Han so that tracks. No, I don't know what surprise os next. What are we getting close to? God I feel so dumb 😩. Oh wow we are boss sausages now? sweet.

Love this mini-series, I think it gives so much insight into not just the individual duo relationships, but also their individual processes for producing. I remember we were kinda feeling bad for the Hyunjin/Seungmin duo because the others had a 3racha member, and now Hyunjin is putting out his own stuff as SKZ records and on albums and Seungmin had his song too. And Changbin taking a more educational path with I.N and Chan focusing on boosting Felix’s confidence more than teaching… It’s so great to watch how they work together differently and yet exactly as their duo needs them to work. I can’t wait for you to get to their Howl in Harmony mini-series. It’s all about their unit songs for NoEasy so it will be a while before you get to it, but I’m so excited to see your reactions to it, especially since it’s different units than Go/In albums. We really do get such different units and they’re different each time with their own colors and sounds.

I always find it so interesting how Chan and Felix, who are both Australian and whose first language is English, always seem to revert back to speaking Korean even when they're not with the other members.

@20:46 , when Han-C said "I love how everybody's so different." And if they all switched writing partners, they'd be different again in new ways. That's why I like the videos / series when they break into writing groups or pairs, like the Howl in Harmony series. Their creativity and the different skill sets they bring to the process are amazing.

idk if this is just my observation or if anyone else has noticed this but i felt like in this series felix kept talking pretty much all the time in korean while chan just always talks in konglish but nowadays or if you look at their newer 2 kids room felix and chan both switch back and forth while talking but in general they tend more toward english. at least that's the way i noticed it

I wonder if it just became a habit from back when all of the members were helping Felix learn Korean and tried to make everything as immersive as possible so he would learn faster?

this is just a theory but what i thought it that chan seems to have always been bilingual, so i could imagine that family also talk konglish at home which is why it would be natural to him vs. felix who only learned korean as a 2nd languange once he came to korea, so when you learn a language "formally" like that and being constantly surrounded by that language , it might be hard to mix languages and maybe he wanted to keep talking in korean to improve(?). so i think it might've taken some time for felix to be comfortable switching languages back and forth. hope that makes sense lol, it's just a theory tho

I was more specifically talking about Chan, rather than the others. I just meant from that time period. I wonder if Chan got in the habit of really focusing on speaking Korean to Felix to help him and it just became a habit to revert to Korean with him, even if they aren't with the other members.

there's two mysteries of the two kids song series that remain unsolved to this day: 1) why did seungmin want to lick someone that night at sunrise?? 2) why was there a whole stick of butter on those breads?😭 but yeah this series was so fun!! i hope they do this again some time in the future, there's still some duos where we have no idea how they would work or what kind of music they would make (looking at 2min specifically👀) all the duos where SO different in their approaches process and end result. if i wanted to learn the most through this series i would pick changbin cuz i've zero experience and changbin is really good at teaching and had a very structured approach. on the other hand being in a seungmin-hyunjin type of duo would (potentially) bring out the most creativity because you're not inferior to the other person in terms of experience/skills, so it's more comfortable!

ohh, i feel like chan has always tended more toward english with felix and him talking more korean in this series especially towards the end is more him adjusting to felix since felix just kept talking in korean and in a way "not taking the bait" to switch to english. so basically it became felix habit to talk in korean, potentially and chan adjusted to that? but once again i could be totally off, this is just me putting myself in their shoes as a fellow bilingual speaker🤣

I think I would want to work with any of them to be honest. I play piano and bass guitar (and unofficially sing lol) but they're all more musically inclined than I am in terms of understanding toplines, melodies, and whatnot. I think, if it came down to it, I'd be most comfortable with Hyunjin, Chan, or Changbin since, like D-Some said, Han seems to already have it in his head and I too would be like "we're talking about kimbap. Shouldn't be working on this song...?" But all in all, I love all their tracks for different reasons so I don't think I can choose a favorite! Ice Americano does get stuck in my head wayyyyyyy more than the others, but they're all so good! :D

Pausing at 24.02 where Han and Lee Know are talking about their Namsan Tower date because: 1. I haven't been the same since someone pointed out that, when Lee Know is talking about the couple they saw, he specifically says *straight* couple (namnyeo keopeul); and 2. because I'm pretty sure it's the pictures/stickers from this date that they use as "album" art for Want So Bad.

Did a bit of research: Gagwanz came from 2 kids room where Seungmin described his chemistry with LeeKnow 'Pathetic' or 'Spectacle'. It could work both ways, so either it's like 'Patheticz' or 'Spectaclez' MatMakz, you're right yes! MAT (the oldest) + MAKnae (the youngest) give MatMakz BboJjakz, the word came from 귀염'뽀짝' (Super adorably cute-sy😂), and one of a caption from ChoiSkz called I.N & Felix 'BboJjakz (SuperCute-syz)'. I think D'Some would be able to provide better word choices (if applicable) since he's my Daddyyyyyyy 😭

Han-C's reply is pretty spot on :D If you're curious, I did write about Bbojjakz in one of our Making film reactions! For the record, and I'm sure you know, I.N and Chagbin's nickname became BbangKkoolz after this episode XD (from bread = bbang, and kkool kkol = oink oink)

All sounds like potential reasons :D Another big reason, especially for shows like this, is that they have a camera rolling. So they would consciously try to revert back to Korean to make sure every staff member is on the same page for monitoring, and eventually editing and other production related reasons!

First question will be a mystery forever, but the second one, well, if you didn't know, Koreans enjoy 앙버터 (angbutter, an originally Japanese dish if I remember correctly), which basically has a huge stick of butter and red bean paste on a loaf of bread. So that ain't anything crazy to them XD

I love how Han and Lee Know just seemed to spend like 80% of their time just talking and joking around remembering old things but then also somehow got a whole song together anyways. Their creative method is really so unique. Their brains are just on the same wavelength.

I love seeing Hyunjin of 4 years ago starting to really get into song writing and producing, you can already see that he has so many ideas in his head 🥹 I think he'd be so interesting to collab on a song with, the songs he's released lately have been amazing

From what I understood and correct me if I’m wrong, Han had lyrics already because he wants to write a song with ice americano as a theme and coincidentally he kind of said that the beat that Chan had matches with his lyrics. So I think he doesn’t know or heard the beat beforehand

I haven't really made music before, only experimented a bit with some sound scapes for installations, but purely in terms of creative process, I would love to work with either Han or Hyunjin because their energy and way of working matches mine the most. Their two groups and their finished songs were also my favourites because I could connect instantly with what they were doing and I loved the cute and chill vibes

I find it interesting how their friendship dynamics match their work styles. They're all so different but I like how they as a group now have developed to a stage where they're all writing more in different combinations. I feel like you'll really like Howl in Harmony to see how they work in different combinations too. Personally, I would want to work with Changbin. I love how he decodes and idea and draws the best out of it whilst helping you to understand why it works. I'm not experienced in song writing but I have done more long-form fiction writing and so I really love people who can do structure effectively and well because it can make all the different. I would want Changbin to be my song writing tutor I think.

If you liked this series, I think you will really enjoy 'Howling in Harmony' how they made the unit songs for NOEASY and it doesn't give any spoilers for the songs, although I believe you are already familiar with at least 2 of them... it is a great little series and they also have the behind the scenes of each of the MV for the songs they make.
