Oh the 'kids' series is something else. Truly.

They've taken everything we loved about the 'room' series and applied to music production - the perfect combination for us two Sausages specifically! :D

Who you work with in what setting can change the result dramatically, and that's not even taking into consideration the 'musical preference and color' each person may have.

Thrilled to see what they come up with, and talk about what we think, why certain things happened, and much more!

GASP! Yes, same track but 4 different songs. I. N and his little shoulder dance is adorable. Lol does Lee know look drunk? I love that Han wanted to work with Seungmin. Felix chose so fast. It's the Aussies. Lena was being such a mom. So he went from looking drunk to looking high. What in the world? 😂 Han and Lee know ending up together is just fate. Also, it's funny that sunkman said going last but make him end up not with 3Racha and he ended up not being with 3Racha. The songs that they came up with are very cute. It really is. It really is balanced well. I think it makes sense for Felix to not use formal speech with bang, Chan. Han and Lee know doing fruit bingo had me cracking up. Also, when I first watched this I had just started working at a grocery store so I actually knew what a rambutan was and it made me so excited. Novel is an absolutely fantastic song. It's going to be on one of the Japanese albums that you guys listen to later on. They all have some really great demos in their phone and I cannot wait for them to release them. They need to release these songs at some point. Oh you guys do know this song. Wait. Do you guys not know that song. Oh you will. I am not surprised that they know that song because it was very popular on tiktok and you know Felix used to stay on tiktok. Y'all definitely know this song. Yes it's up all night 🤗. It's definitely so interesting to see the process of each of the 3Racha Members. Sungerman said he was going to do his best even though he doesn't want it to be like super serious. I love listening to banging Jenna Felix talk because the way they just switch back and forth between English and Korean is so interesting. I'm not surprised at all that hyunjin likes to play with the rhythm. Especially as a dancer. I forget just how fast these episodes are. But it's so much fun to watch and the songs that they make are so cute. I feel like they've been doing a pretty good job at hyping up the members that don't feel as comfortable or feels a bit awkward during this process. Bang Chan loves complimenting the boys anyway, so like that was super easy. Changbin also loves complimenting the boys and he loves himself some I.N so I'm not surprised. Yeah, very short recording process but they really are so adorable. At this point I was definitely looking forward to lino and Hans song cuz I was very firmly a mindsong person by the time I got to this this series. And then I also really wanted to hear hyunjin and Seungmin's because they don't have a member of 3Racha on the team so I was very interested to see how that goes.

totally did not expect you guys to do 2kids song, i'm so excited!! this is gonna be fun! i love love love seing skz working on their music, so mixing that with the 2kids room concept - genius!! I think when I first watched this I was most curious about seungmin & hyunjin, they just seemed to click so well + lee know and han because the atmosphere in their room was so different compared to all the others, very lighthearted and a bit unserious😂 So same as you guys lol

Song camp howl in harmony is similiar to this (they work in units and create a song) but is more professional? It’s a full song and it’s actually released on an album so I look forward to yall reacting to that also!

Omggg I loved revisiting 2k song with you guys the amount of little snippets from songs we know and love went over my head as a baby stay watching it but I love recognizing the songs now 😭

I thought you'd like this one! Two Kids Song might be my absolute favourite from the entire series - especially from the early ones. The pairings couldn't have been better in my opinion. I've probably mentioned it about a billion times by now, but I really can't get enough of Chan and Changbin in teacher-mode, and that'll come to it's right with these pairings. Also, over all, Hyunjin and Seungmin together are so special to me, and you'll see more of that when you get to their TKR-episodes❤️ Aaaand it's fun to see even as far back as this that Hyunjin was already dabbling in writing music, enough that he had gotten his own equipment - I'm guessing it was intended from the beginning that he would be going to the room without 3racha. When you listen to his songs now, they truly are something else. There's nothing he can't do if he puts his mind to it. Aaand Seungmin's song 'Novel' was released as a japanese ot8 on The Sound in 2023. It's such a good song! And also, the cuteness and hilarity of Felix and Chan randomly switching language every other sentence makes me giggle. Then there's Han and LeeKnow just casually spoiling songs. You'll find the whole one on a later album - it's one of my favourites. Sooo. Giant, huh?

This is such an amazing surprise!!! I saw d'some's face listening to the song Han was playing at 16:21 like you knew it and it's the demo of Secret Secret before Han recorded and released it!

I remember when this show dropped and how exciting it was to hear all these (at the time) unreleased tracks and spoilers. Seungmin's song Novel ended up being translated to Japanese and dropping on The Sound album. HAN's Secret Secret later came out in the NoEasy album. Obviously Up All Night came out as a YT exclusive. Some of these songs to this day have never been released (RIP Hyunjin and Bang Chan's R&B song lost to a harddrive somewhere). I think it is so fascinating to see how the members outside of 3RACHA went from nervous and inexperienced writers (most of them had only written lyrics for the Mixtape projects at that point and a unit track), to now all having solos of their own.

This is fun! My question is when Chan and Felix keep constantly flowing between Korean and English do you notice since you can understand all of it? It was funny to me when they kept switching languages in the middle of a sentence, but neither of you had any reaction 😆 I guess because that’s normal for bilingual speakers (and I’m a little jealous lol)

The Noeasy track is one of my absolute favourites, but that one is still a spoiler on here though, haven't gotten that far yet 😛 As is Novel, but they don't actually play that one in the episode, so I figured we're good 😊

Ahh, I'd forgotten about 2 Kids Song! This is a great little series, and with my people-watcher hat on, I love seeing the interpersonal dynamics between the pairings. Chan and Felix always stand out to me here, because they're so awkward in a way that (in my opinion) is like 60% due to awareness of the camera and 40% because of where they were at socially four years ago, and the end result is very endearing. Like, they're both so self-conscious about how they're meant to be with each other, because they're At Work And On Camera With Chan In Charge, which means they can't relax into full Aussie casual, so they're both overcompensating for it, Felix by being reserved and formal, and Chan by vacillating between gushing praise and leader-doing-an-interview mode, because he keeps overcorrecting in two different directions. Which is (again, IMO) a really great mini showcase of how different they are when it comes to doing self-control on camera: Felix gets quieter, slower, more intentional and less reactive, and Chan speaks more obviously for the camera's benefit, almost like he's narrating his thoughts more than conversing, while periodically cringe-laughing at his own formality. When they're relaxed or unselfconscious, by contrast, Felix speeds up, gets slyer and sillier and more physical, while Chan relaxes his body language and becomes more conversational, though they both become more overtly Australian. (The iconic burger tasting live is a perfect example of this!)

Wow it's been a while since I last watched this series. I remember being really excited to listen to everyone's songs but especially Hyunjin and Seungmin's, maybe it's because back then we had less knowledge of what both of their styles were and there wasn't a 3Racha member guiding the production either. But surprisingly I really liked the song Jeongin did with Changbin, now I've listened to all 4 songs again and I think it's still my favorite 😄

I've heard that everyone speaks formally to Chan (though he asked them to speak casually, they didn't). While everyone else speaks casually to each other. Don't know if anyone can validate? I'm always fascinated by the language nuances that you can only get from speaking Korean, so anytime you guys want to talk about what you can tell from how they speak and how they speak to each other, it's always appreciated.

I always enjoy how much stray kids let us see their creative process. I think my favourite song making content is the Chan's room making of 'can't live without changbin' and additionally 'kkulchong edm' where you get to see more of Chan's direct producing skills. But I also love howl in harmony which you will get to eventually.

While watching these for the first time, I remember anticipating Changbin/I.N's and Hyunjin/Seungmin's songs the most. I felt that they were the ones that took us along with them through their process the most, which is what speaks to me, usually. I like the different approaches that the 3racha members have to guiding the others, and as you see them directing elsewhere, you'll see how it changes a bit for each member they work with. Like they each have their own style, but on top of that, they're so aware of the needs of the member they're working with as well. Again, the level of EQ is astounding. Like, Felix actually has a real knack for writing lyrics and has recently spoken about wanting to write for others as well. At this point though, he needed a confidence boost, he was stuck in his head. Chan knows Felix's abilities and is all about making him see that for himself. I.N on the other hand, is unsure about the writing process itself because that's new to him, so this is Changbin's focus. A detailed how-to example of accessing your own ideas and putting them to paper. (Another precious Teacher Changbin-moment was from the survival show, when he's helping Hyunjin with his rap). Obviously, Han and LeeKnow's dynamics are different, but here too. A simple "this is your task, you'll do great!", a relaxed environment and a lot of goofing around is what he needs.

Ah, you have them both down to a T, that's hilarious lol And yeah, when you get to see them relaxed like in Channie's room, it's faaar from this. While I have my doubts about any of their vlives making the foreverlist (it's not really reactionable content) I do hope some compilations might make the list. There's so many iconic moments in those and they have an entirely different mood..

Fun fact, the song Hyunjin mentioned that Seungmin was working on called “Novel” is on the Sound album! The Japanese album I’m always dying for you guys to get to! Also news dropped that their 2nd Japanese album is coming out in November titled “GIANT”

I completely agree! I did a TikTok about this a while back, but I really believe that, out of all the members, Felix is the one who's most constantly and consistently aware of the camera, which in turn impacts his behaviour. You can see it most when he slows down his English: he's a fluent native speaker, but particularly in Australian English, the default is to be slangy, sweary and irreverent, all of which idols are meant to avoid, which means he has to be constantly watching his words instead of releaxing. So I think, by contrast, he finds it easier (or more natural) to be idol-Felix in Korean, which has more formal registers - it's really chameleonic!

But yeah, totally agree with you! Though it's much harder to catch nowadays if you're not familiar with it, compared to the early days.

It's so interesting rewatching this now. Seungmin's song Novel he mentions was released on one of their Japanese albums. Hyunjin's songs have come out more and you can see the beginning of his style developing here. Chan and Felix have started writing more together (FNF, Runners) and they have a cool style. It's so interesting seeing their different styles. I also love hearing Changbin describe his writing style, he's just so smart, and a really good teacher as well. And it's cool hearing how Chan was giving them all tracks and supporting them to develop song writing from pretty early on. Despite them having a core producing group he seems to have been very pro getting all the members to have as much creative involvement in the group as they can which is very cool of him honestly.
