I feel like it will be more interesting if he remembers and while he does have some problems with this new way of life considering how things were he does grow to like it.

I agree. It'd be unfair to completely erase Spike's memories from before the transformation. Instead, we can have him remember how everything used to be while accepting his new body & life with his harem.

It would be nice if Spike remembered and in his memory, we could get some quick shots of him comparing his memory to the girls new blissful forms. Naturally he would embrace the the changes and embrace his new harem.
