A lot has changed since my last insight.

The past month, and especially the past couple weeks, are difficult to describe. I will try not to get too far into everything because these posts already tend to ramble on, stream-of-consciousness like. My stepfather died. His funeral was today. I have left the job that gave me the most steady income and it is still unclear whether I will be put on any more projects for my other job until next summer.

I am planning to try out what it would be like to work 30+ hours a week on my audios, and whether there is enough growth resulting from that effort for it to sustain me financially. External pressure might require me to find another job regardless.

I believe I am starting to get a better understanding of what people are interested in and the best way to organize my content for the purposes of earning money. I hate that I have to be so focused on monetization, but living is expensive, and right now this is all I have.

Another added complication is that I have become eligible for partial Youtube monetization. The only features that I have unlocked so far are merch, supers, and memberships. I want to keep Youtube membership benefits roughly equivalent to the pay points in my Patreon, so that a person doesn't have to pay in both places unless they feel the urge to go above and beyond. It's another thing where I'll have to learn as I go and work out any issues that come up. I don't anticipate earning much from these features, especially considering that I'm not exactly a livestreamer (yet???), but I want to make it as easy as possible for me to earn income from all available avenues.

There are positives, of course. This has been a bit more sober in tone than I usually am, for obvious reasons, but not everything is bad. And as always, I am blown away by the positive feedback I've received so far. I can only hope that I haven't peaked yet.
