Hey there, this is just a quick update post so you are in the know on a few things. I'd usually implement that into post descriptions if something comes up but I don't know if that many read my post descriptions so I rather mention it in a separate post ^^
Can't work on Saturday
Saturday is our yearly trip/hike with the orchestra. I'm gone from the earliest morning till 10pm my time so I legit am gone for the whole day. Just letting you know that there won't be a post ^^
Timelapses for the newest TACS 2 chapter are cancelled
I'm sorry to say but I can't provide any timelapses for chapter 5 of TACS 2. It's not that I don't want to but my PC legit can't handle the file sizes the timelapse feature of Clip Studio Paint causes. One file is at least 2.5GB big when I was done with the lineart phase (and it would get way bigger when I add colors and shading). Don't get me wrong, my external Harddrive got enough space for huge files, the issue is that the programs temporary files and the file itself get loaded into a different directory when I open up the file. The issue is that said drive is way more limited in space. I tried a lot to change said path to a directory with more space but it's just not possible apparently. When the drive runs out of space I'm not able to save the file anymore, so I was forced to cancel the timelapse on pages else my progress would've been lost.
I also was hopeful because Clip Studio now got a feature that decreases the file size of an project by 70% with the record timelapse feature. The issue is that I have to pay for an "expansion pass" to get said feature which I can't buy because they only accept credit card (credit cards are not that common in Germany) + even if I would get that feature I can't keep the timelapses I already started, I'd have to start new timelapses on all pages.
So in the end I won't be able to provide any timelapses for this chapter but I hope I might be able to provide some for the next chapter again. We'll see how it goes. The other project timelapses are fine btw. They require less work, therefore less recording time as a whole + they are usually smaller in scale. Those page files are just stupidly big when I record timelapses. ^^;
That's all! Just wanted to inform you about these two topics!
I wish you all a wonderful weekend and stay safe!
