Hello everyone. This was buried in the last Q&A so it bears repeating here: My partner is helping me on Betelgeuse by doing art. I planned to work on enemies this month but since she was brought on later I think she needs more time to catch up. Lesson learned, get the art department on board as soon as possible.

Anyway, she worked full-time on Betelgeuse this month and I took it as an opportunity to slack off. I mostly played a bunch of games while occasionally stepping in to discuss art matters. Right now we're focusing the bulk of that energy on the player character and enemies. I'm not making any promises here but I'd like to show you the player character in the not too distant future. The way I see it, nothing is final until a game actually releases but I think we're getting close to a "final" design for the protagonist.

Even though I didn't do much this month, pledges will remain open since a lot did happen behind the scenes, it just wasn't me doing it. Feels pretty strange to have a collaborator after all these years but there it is.

If you’re disappointed by any of the above, no hard feelings for pausing or pulling your pledge, I only ask that you join me again next month when I’ll have something to show. I don’t know what that something is yet but I’ll figure it out. See you then.

I’m not disappointed at all. Looking forward to seeing the results!

It's cool to hear you're both working together on the project. It reminded me of an anime director who began his career working on a small project with his fiancée. Looking forward to a reveal, but I promise to temper my expectations and prepare myself for the death of Bichter Relmont, or any w.i.p. characters to come. Best of luck to both of you in the coming month
