Halt to donations (Patreon)

I figure you might get some kind of notification when I mess around with my settings on this page but just in case you don't this should do the trick.

If you take a look at my profile here you'll see I've frozen donations until the Dark Souls Commentary is done. It's taken me a long time to complete it for a number of reasons: it's a long time consuming game/video, I put a lot of pressure on myself to do it justice and I've run into a few technical issues which have slowed things down considerably. Normally I like to keep these kind of issues private and just drop a video on you without any complaints from my end but it's gone on so long I figured I can't avoid talking about it.

The audio commentary itself is where I put by far the most effort, at the moment it's about 90% complete and thankfully that work all seems to be fine. The video however is showing some worrying issues which could be a dealbreaker for me. It's hard to say for sure because rendering big chunks as test footage is taking an incredibly long time - one of the technical issues I mentioned above. If there turns out to be too many issues I'll record all the footage again. If it comes down to that I might release a different video before the Dark Souls one just to tide everyone over a little bit. I don't want to worry you all too much so I'll just reiterate the script/audio are where I focused the vast, vast majority of my time. All that work is safe and nearly complete. I even backed it up which is normally something I leave until after the video is uploaded.

I really appreciate the generosity you've all shown but I just don't feel right taking any more donations after so long without the Dark Souls video. When it's completed I'll turn the donations back onto their usual monthly setting. As far as I'm aware you don't have to do anything on your end.
