One more month (Patreon)

Hi guys,

A lengthy explanation on the situation just because I like to clarify everything even if I am always later than I should. First of all I want to thank and welcome all the people that recently joined, there are many of you and I’m really glad. At this speed we might reach 1000 subscribers not so far in time and I could finally create with some awesome artist a Drawn Comic version of Rebecca’s Story, from the beginning to the present.

First point that interests everybody:

October will be paused too, so no additional charging for all of you. You can keep following my posts for “free” one more month. It’s not a decision I took lightly, this is a work I do for a living but if I’m lagging behind with work the fault is mine only and I made a promise, I won’t start until I get everything done.

Somebody wrote to me about the Growth Diary status. I realized I paused it far too long to catch up with work I was never done with. That’s why I decided to post again about it regularly, it seems fair and everybody can enjoy it.

Bluephone 4 is in progress, not done but not too far. While working I understood that my creative process in general isn’t straight forward. I need time, I go back on something, I add an idea here, one more detail there. I also was frightened at some point to create something less worthy than the last chapter. This is something that froze me for a while. I didn’t want to disappoint you and I didn’t want to disappoint myself. I really like to create this series the way I want and I’m taking my sweet time. I’m sorry about this. I just hope in the end it pays off for everybody.

One more thing noteworthy: this series is almost double the amount of pages I programmed myself to make every month per issue. This is one more reason for the delay. I also ask you to forgive me if I decided to suspend the extra growth sequences due to the fact these comics are really long and anyway worth the value of your pledge. On this last point I’m open for discussion tho, I don’t want to be an unfair unilateral decision. The idea was to restart the growth sequences once the comics get into the monthly range of about 60-80 pages.

I will introduce more tiers when I’ll restart the Patreon: they mostly will include the option to request older comics so people having problems buying on Gumroad can do that here. To one of these tiers I would  also like to add 2 hours per week of creative streaming: a streaming where I’ll work and I’ll have a chat with you. You could check what I’m doing and also learn a bit if you ever want to get into comics yourself.
