Halu, fellas. I just wanna share how I like to overload my brain lol

I feel like it's a real struggle to be looking for more accurate references that match poses in mind.

I could use the 3D model feature on clip studio, i could look for specific screenshots in p*rn, but those would take too much time in my case.

So now, I'm left with a mirror for dynamic facial and hand gestures, the rest is mental math and muscle memory.

It might sound tedious but it feels seamless and I have a lot of fun with it, though i can say it's definitely not for everyone, especially if you're aphantasic, which wouldn't make you any less of an artist imo.

If you're learning how to draw, go with what works for you.

Thoughts and comments are very much welcome here ✨

Do you plan by any chance to do a “How I do faces?” Cause I don’t know if I am aphantasic or just a piece of shit, but I nearly took all my pencils and a stylus and rammed them up my ass to violently twist afterwards like I’m an old 1910’s Ford because there is a continuous issue with faces. You know, just my personal experience. So if there is any universal advice apart from “Just practice” on how to figure out what consistently works for you and looks nice, I would be very grateful 🥰

It's so cool to read your drawing process for posing I normally just take a Pic of me doing the pose or get a generic 3d model (then use the transform and puppet tools) for the pose

i hope das an exaggeration but i get it, i've had my share of breakdowns too. When it comes to how i do faces, that's where the mirror method comes in. Might be awkward to do facial expressions at ur mirror but u get used to it

i can see that working just as good, maybe even better ✨ if u can work smart, why not
