I had to think backwards on this one! Love the way it turned out though. I think I'll do more designs with expanding handles, how about a mace? Any other ideas?

There is both a replaceable blade and a print-in-place version.

Supports are not required, for best results use a .4mm nozzle. You can print the blades all at once concentrically or one at a time in vase mode. I suggest printing in vase mode but if printing concentrically, the test print can be found here. Find detailed instructions on how to print collapsing swords on my website.

Maybe the Dora Milaje Wakandan spear from Black Panther if you're looking for ideas. Has the same concept.

I just finished printing it this morning! It looks and feels great. The only issue is that the handle easily slides out of the Spear head. I used Silk PLA for both ends and they slip right in and out. I was thinking of printing the head a little smaller to see if that works.

Any tips on getting the two parts of the head to line up when tightening?

Dang, someone else had this issue. I think I need to work on a quarter turn design instead of threads so it will always line up. 🤔 We can fix it though, is it too loose or tight?

I'm doing something wrong with my settings on bambu for the handle. What settings would you use on bambu?

How are you printing the handle? I don't have a Bambu but there are a lot of users on our FB group that do.
