Build Your Own Katana is back with number six! These are so fun to design and print and I think they just keep getting better. Expect the collection to continue to grow in the future!

If you are not familiar, BYOK is a series of katana's where the guards, wraps and pommels are interchangeable so you can build your own katana with different parts. This is the multi-part style so the parts can be printed separately in different colors. Once assembled, the pommel holds it all together without glue.

Previous versions BYOK #1-6

Supports are not required, for best results use a .4mm nozzle. You can print the blades all at once concentrically or one at a time in vase mode. I suggest printing in vase mode but if printing concentrically, the test print can be found here. Find detailed instructions on how to print collapsing swords on my website.

Are the katana blades interchangeable? like if i print a bunch of the blades from this one will it fit the other packs handles?

With this series I switched to a straight handle viruses previously versions with a curved handle. The blades are interchangeable between the two. The blade might not be perfectly flush with the bottom of the hilt when its collapsed though.
