Yi-jin, although he dropped the L-bomb, is and should be holding back because Hee-do is technically a minor at this point of the story. And I don't know if it came across in the translation properly, but the way he said "love" was more of an all-encompassing sense of the word. Romantic love is definitely there, but I think throughout the show, they have a very deep love for each other as the humans they are. And yes, you should def watch Mr. Sunshine.
