Glad you guys are enjoying the show, great reaction. You guys had a small misunderstanding about something but the show will elaborate on it, if others in the comments clear it up that's fine too, it's not really a spoiler but it's not game changing so I won't mention it. Looking forward to the next one as always!

"Clear sound" means Chung-Ah, not Eun-Gyeol (she learned to sign it from the previous tutor).

Irieezy.

Watching the moment with eun gyeol and his mom had me bawling. 😭😭 protecting her in that wretched house, the emotion in his eyes! Amazing acting

Yes. From what I know, a deaf person usually has a sign that represents themselves. They have a written official name and a "sign".

I am a CODA as well, and my dad told me he went through something very similar to what Chung-ha did. Not the whole evil stepmother part lol, but growing up in an environment that was not accepting of him being deaf and seeing it as something to be ashamed of. So he was forced to talk growing up and did not know sign language. He said they didn’t even tell him sign language was a thing and he only found out about it when he went to Canada for university. And there he was able to take ASL class as his elective, and he actually met my mom in the class lol (she is hard of hearing)They became friends and etc. anyways, I watched this show first and when I saw Chung-ha’s storyline, I showed the show to him and we watched it again together, he actually cried at how much he could relate to her. I love how realistic the representation of a is CODA and life for a deaf child with hearing parents.

Hey y’all. I know this might seem crazy but I think you guys should start reacting to Chinese dramas. They are very fun, light hearted and quirky. The only problems is they are like 24 episodes or more each . They are released 4 episodes a week since they are shorter than other Korean dramas. They are like 30 to 40 minutes max. I know it might sound crazy but I think they are very fun. Some of my recommendations are hidden love, my perfect husband, who rules the world or love like the galaxy

Heartwell

It's a lovely drama

I know this is kinda out of topic but I suggest you watch Park Eun Bin's (Atty. Woo Young Woo) "The King's Affection" it won an iEmmy Award and is really good! (Though the story revolves more on Romance)
