Chapter 1: Journey Begins

"I have to become stronger," Naruto said to himself as he watched Boruto fight again in two of the four Shinju trees that had taken the forms of the people they absorbed.

The ones Boruto was fighting looked like Sasuke and Bug, they were stupidly strong, and Naruto guessed one of them would be able to defeat any Otsutsuki they encountered so far.

Kawaki had managed to take down two of the four Shinjus before dying in his last moments of life. He had released Naruto and Hinata, then apologized to them for the trouble he'd caused. The blonde Uzumaki forgave the dying teen, making him pass away with a smile on his face.

"Why are you getting in my way, Boruto Uzumaki?" The Shinju that looked like Sasuke said as he tried to impale the blonde Otsutsuki on his claw-like arm, which was covered in purple lightning.

"So I'm supposed to sit back and watch you absorb my father," Boruto replied sarcastically as he dodged the attack and retaliated with one of his own.

The blonde Otsutsuki fired multiple invisible Rasengans at the two Shinju. He had long since noticed Bugs trying to slip away so that he could attack his target, Eida.

The two Shinjus dodged and deflected Boruto's attacks effortlessly; it seems that having the Rinnegan makes them able to see his invisible attacks and even absorb them.

The two became increasingly agitated as Boruto kept them away from the people their instincts told them to eat. So the two nodded at each other as they both started to work together to get rid of a common threat: Boruto Uzumaki.

"Tsk, so you two are getting along? It doesn't matter; I'll just eliminate you both at once." Boruto stated as he launched himself at the duo of Shinjus.

Naruto and Hinata could only watch as Boruto fought with everything he had and somehow, he managed to force the remaining two shinju to retreat before collapsing on the ground for both his injuries from the Shinjus and exhaustion.

Fast Forward...

Naruto had returned to Konoha with his son so that he could be healed. The people still see Boruto as Kawaki, but the blonde is still Hokage (mostly because Shikamaru had refused to take his place while he was being captured). So the medical ninjas followed his orders.

As Naruto watched his son, who had surpassed him in power, sleep, the blonde Uzumaki couldn't help but feel envious. He was the strongest ninja in his younger years, but becoming Hokage made him get weaker.

The blonde Uzumaki also lost Kurama, so other than sage mode, he didn't have much up his sleeve. This was a problem for Naruto because as Hokage, he could protect anyone.

"I want to go on a journey to become stronger," Naruto stated as he sat behind the Hokage desk once more.

The blonde Kage couldn't help but question himself on why he ever wanted that title in the first place, as he saw a mountain of paperwork waiting to be signed.

Naruto watched as Shikamaru's face gained a look of surprise, and it was almost as if his friend had just fainted.

"I am going to resign as Hokage and recommend you as my replacement," Naruto said in a serious voice as his eyes looked out over the village.

"What you can do that the village needs you right now," Shikamaru exclaimed.

"No, it doesn't. It has been running fine while I was sealed away. And you will continue to do a good job." Naruto said calmly.

Shikamaru looked at the blonde's determined eyes, the same determination Naruto had when he said he was going to become Hokage when he was younger.

"What about Hinata?" Shikamaru asked desperately trying to find something to make Naruto change his mind.

"She will be fine," Naruto replied, "If she needs me, she can always contact me through the toads."

Naruto had talked to Hinata about what he was planning to do first. She was rightfully sad and angry, but knew that it was something he had to do.

Flashback Scene Ahead...

"Yes I do, my gut is telling me that," Naruto replied, making Hinata giggle at his answer. The blonde was leaving everything behind for a gut feeling; his wife thought he was an idiot, but that was one reason why she loved him.

"Fine, I'll support you, but you owe me," Hinata said as she saddled the blonde and ground her wet core against his flaccid shaft. "And I'm going to drain you dry."

Flashback Scene End...

"So how long will it take you to complete this journey?" Shikamaru asked as he could see that he would win this discussion.

"I'm not sure, but it shouldn't take more than five years," Naruto replied.

Shikamaru's shoulders sagged as he realized he would have to deal with all the hard work that comes with being a Kage, "When will you leave?"

"As soon as possible," Naruto stated, and his first stop would be Mount Myoboku, the home of the toads, where he could complete his sage training.

Mount Myoboku...

After the blonde left Konoha, Naruto went to the toads to complete his training, particularly in obtaining the perfect sage mode and sage transformation.

Naruto had talked with the toads about sage transformation training in the past, but they always said it was too dangerous, especially with Kurama rejecting their influence on him. So it was out of the question, but now that the Bijū is gone, it's a possibility.

"Now, a sage transformation is just a new way that one can naturally enter sage mode and gain some bonus abilities. Are you sure you want to learn it? I think it's a waste of time because you can already enter sage mode, and it has so many drawbacks like insanity." Shima asked worryingly.

"Yes, I am sure that it would boost my battle power. I would be able to gather natural energy without the help of shadow clones while moving and it will get some new abilities like shape-shifting." Naruto replied, knowing that Sage Transformation wouldn't make him much stronger but it would more or less help him complete his current Sage Mode.

"I think it's a good idea, ma." Fukasaku said with a grin, "Naruto boy has already mastered Sage Mode, I don't think Sage Transformation will hurt him but it will help him a little."

"Fine, you two idiots can do whatever you want; I'm going to start lunch." Shima stated and gave up.

Naruto and Fukasaku shared a laugh at Shima as she threw her hands in the air, cursing them, saying that they would be the death of her.

"Ok, let's get serious now," Fukasaku stated as he spoke. "It order for you to acquire the Sage Transformation. You must transplant some of my blood into yourself. It isn't something you can learn; you can only gain it this way. As toads, we naturally gather natural energy while breathing."

It made sense, so Naruto did as the toad instructed, and as soon as the toad's blood entered his veins, he felt only pain until sweet unconsciousness took him.

Some time later, Naruto woke up with a groan. A cool towel was on his forehead, and a worried Shikamaru was looking at him.

"It's good to see that you're awake," the elderly female toad said.

"So how long was I out, and did the Sage transformation work?" Naruto asked as he sat up.

Shima looked at the blonde former kage before speaking. "The blood transplant did what it was supposed to. I can feel it, and you were unconscious for three days."

"What," Naruto exclaimed as he was usually unconscious for a day at most even without Kurama.

"Yes, the toad's blood must have reacted with you strongly." Shima stated. "Let's talk about it later. Eat and regain your strength now."

Shima pushed a plate in front of Naruto. It had a giant fly on it, making the blonde turn green but his stomach growled, so he took a deep breath and bit down on the insect.

Fast Forward...

Fire Temple [Land of Fire]...

Naruto looked around the temple. He was visiting his friend Sora, a pseudo-jinchuriki of Kurama, the former kage who was training with the toads when he had an idea.

Kurama is not human, so using all of its chakra shouldn't kill it, but the Bijû would lose its physical form, becoming something like a ghost.

So there's a chance that Kurama might still be alive, but Bijuu can't interact with the physical plane.

Naruto's idea was to regain some of Kurama's chakra, and hopefully, since they are linked by a Shinigami, the Bijuu should regain its form in this world.

It was a long shot, but Naruto decided that the worst that could happen is that he just gets a limited amount of Bijuu Chakra and Kurama doesn't return.

Fast Forward...

Six Years Later [Land Of Fire]...

Konoha was once again in great danger, but it wasn't from the Shinju Tree people; Boruto had defeated them not long ago. However, Amado's true colors were revealed in his battle weary state.

Amado's goal was not to bring back his daughter, but rather to become an Otsutsuki. The mad scientist had Eida and Daemon under his control from the start; even Code was a pawn in his quest for power.

The scientist used the three to experiment on giving others Shinju, and now that it worked, he had no need for them. So, he revealed his true self in his Otsutsuki form.

In his Otsutsuki form, Amado had two horns coming out of the front of his head, his skin turned white and his eyes turned into the shigan, he looked similar to a Shibai Otsutsuki, that made sense because he used the advanced Otsutsuki's cells to give himself a Karma seal that transformed him into his current form.

"Now it's time for you to be fed to the Shinju Tree so I can eat a Chakra Fruit and ascend," Amado stated as he dragged the defeated Boruto to the Shinju Tree that was in the middle of the destroyed Konoha.

"I will kill you for this, you son of a bitch," Boruto said as he felt powerless when Amado brought him to the Shinju.

"Why are you so angry? Is it because I killed your mother, or is it your little Uchiha girlfriend?" The mad scientist-turned-Otsutsuki said with a wicked grin, making Borutu struggle to try to kill the bastard.

Amado's attack was swift and vicious; he unleashed the Shinju in the middle of the village, feeding countless villagers (including Code, Eida, and Daemon) to the trees.

With the state of the village, Boruto was almost certain his mother and all his loved ones were dead, but there was a small part of him holding onto the hope otherwise.

"Now be a good little boy and become food for the Shinju so I can become a true God," Amado said as he made the Divine Tree in its ten-tailed form open its mouth.

Boruto struggled to escape the mad scientist's grasp, but it was in vain; the blond-haired Otsutsuki was about to submit to his fate when suddenly he felt a breeze pass him by and experienced weightlessness.

"Sorry I'm late, Boruto," the blonde Otsutsuki heard a familiar voice say.

Boruto is now free of Amado and in his father's arms. He can only look at Naruto in shock, for the first time in his life as an Otsutsuki, he can see how his father became Hokage.

Naruto looked completely different. He was more muscular, and his hair had grown out a little. Even the whiskers on his face had faded to the point where you couldn't see them. But the thing that changed the most was the look in his eyes. Instead of the sorry excuse of a father he used to see, they were now two ice-blue eyes of a true ninja ready to destroy his enemies.

"Boruto, go help any survivors in the village. I'll handle things here." Naruto told his son as he let him go.

Boruto snapped out of his shock, "What are you saying, old man? We have to work together to kill this bastard." The blonde Otsutsuki said.

"No, I'll handle him myself," Naruto stated. "You're in the way."

"What the hell, old man! You're not strong enough to fight him. You'll be killed just like my mother was." Boruto yelled in frustration. He didn't know why his father was trying to get himself killed.

"Your mother is still alive," Naruto said. "I can feel her life force; she's with your sister and a few others. Now stop arguing with me and go." Naruto started as he saw Amado recover from his surprise attack.

When Naruto saved his son, he used a sage-empowered punch to send the mad scientist flying. Now, that man is back sporting a huge bruise on his face that's rapidly healing.

"Naruto Uzumaki, I never expected an insect like you to show up here," Amado said, greatly surprised at the former Hokage's appearance. "If you leave now, I will let you live a little longer until I drain this planet of all its energy."

Naruto didn't answer in words but just vanished in a yellow flash, surprising both Amado and Boruto. The former Kage had used the Flying Thunder God Technique.

Naruto grabbed Amado by the face and threw him into the air; the mad scientist was outside the village in seconds because the speed at which he was thrown broke the sound barrier.

"Boruto, go and help your mother and anyone else you can in the village." Naruto said firmly in a voice his son had never heard before. "I'll take care of Amado."

Boruto watched as his father left in a yellow flash, his eyes worried about his safety but in his exhausted state he doubted he would be much help.

The blonde Otsutsuki gave the area a long before going to help the villagers, Boruto had felt his father's power and it surpassed what he had ever seen him use, even in Baryon mode.

"Come back safely, you shitty old man. Mom would be sad if you died." Boruto said to himself as he now felt his mother's chakra along with his friends who weren't focused on fighting.

Naruto vs Amado Otsutsuki [Forest Outside Konoha]...

Naruto appeared behind Amado and without pausing, he delivered a series of punches and kicks. The scientist managed to block a few, but each blow felt like a mountain slamming into him.

"You have changed, Hokage," Amado said as he distanced himself from the former Kage. He knew that Naruto had marked him with the "Flying Thunder God" technique, but he didn't know where it was. The blonde Uzumaki's first attack was so fast that he couldn't see where exactly the hit landed.

Naruto didn't answer, but instead fully activated his sage transformation, along with his Six Paths Sage Mode. A new power was formed.

Naruto's blonde hair turned white, he grew two horns similar to the original sage of the Six Paths, his eyes turned yellow and his skin turned pale, all in all, he looked like an Otsutsuki.

Amado looked intrigued at Naruto's transformation, his scientific mind was trying to figure out what this new form was. From what he felt, Naruto had as much chakra as a true Otsutsuki.

"What have you done to yourself, Naruto Uzumaki?" Amado demanded. "You look like an Otsutsuki, but I know for a fact that you never received a Karma seal."

"Fuck you that's what," Naruto replied as he formed a Rasengan in his hands and infused them with wind.

Amado looks at Naruto as if he were an idiot, for he should know by now that all Otsutsuki can absorb chakra.

The scientist watched as Naruto approached him and got ready to deflect the Rasengan, but as it hit, it shattered his hand right off his shoulder.

"What? How is that possible?" Amado shouted as he slowly regenerated his lost hand.

Naruto didn't let him fully heal as he attacked him with fury that was like a lion hunting its prey. Blow after blow landed on Amado until he used his teleportation technique to escape.

Amado is now in a pocket dimension. He's going over what just happened. Naruto, who should have been helpless in front of his new power, is overpowering him.

The only answer he could come up with was that Naruto had somehow found a way to use Shinjutsu, normal ninjutsu, and even sage techniques wouldn't hurt him in his new form based on Shibai Otsutsuki.

The scientist hypothesized that Naruto's Shinjutsu was something along the lines of element control, as the Rasengan is infused with wind from nature, not chakra-created wind. The chakra in the Rasengan is only used as bait and to increase the speed of the rotating wind, making the attack more dangerous.

Amado admits to himself that Naruto's plan was actually impressive. He used his overconfidence that no chakra-based attack would be able to hurt him to get in a devastating hit.

The scientist couldn't finish his thought as Naruto appeared in a yellow flash, just as his hand was regrowing, and he delivered a powerful kick to the face, sending Amado flying.

"You bastard! How dare you do this to me!" Amado screamed. "I will kill you and your entire family for this insult!"

"Shut the fuck up and fight!" Naruto shouted back. "I'm going to make you eat your own teeth for all the pain you caused."

"You just try it, you lesser being," Amado replied as his Otsutsuki blood started to take control.

The two charged at each other in a storm of blows that shocked the dimension they were inside, Naruto was thrown back when Amado let out a scream of frustration that created a tornado around him.

Naruto could see that the situation was getting worse with Amado, the man was getting stronger and better at using Otsutsuki techniques, but the scientist was losing himself.

Naruto can already predict what will happen if he doesn't stop Amado soon; he is going to fully transform into a Bijuu and destroy the world.

"You will die, lesser being," Amado said as he made the ground swallow Naruto, the scientist having an insane look in his eyes.

"I will not let you destroy my world," Naruto yelled at the familiar red Bijuu chakra started to flow out of him. As he burst from the ground.

"Is it time, Naruto?" a voice asked inside the form of the blonde Uzumaki head.

"It is, partner," Naruto replied in his mind, "let's show him our power."

Naruto teleported out of the pocket dimension as he saw that it was about to collapse under the combined power of his and Amado's.

Now back in the Elemental Nations, Naruto didn't have to wait long for Amado to attack, and the Uzumaki responded with his own, but before his attack could hit, it was reflected back to him. It would seem that Amado had fully assimilated Daemon Shinjutsu.

"Sigh, this battle is getting harder," Naruto said aloud.

"Yes, it has, but we can beat him," the voice in his head said.

Naruto's consciousness went into his mindscape to talk to Kurama, or more specifically, the reincarnation of his friend.

When Naruto had received some Bijuu chakra from Sora about a week later, the chakra formed an egg inside him, and the Uzumaki could sense Kurama's soul inside it.

It wasn't long before the egg hatched, but instead of Kurama a new Nine-Tails was formed. The fox didn't have the old Kurama's memories, but it inherited his power and soul. It was a bitter-sweet pill for Naruto to swallow; his friend was back, but he was no longer the old fox he knew, but a younger, less experienced one that Naruto would have to guide along the right path, just as the Sage of Six Paths tried to do with the Bijuu so long ago.

This new Kurama look different; it was the same orange but also had white fur mixed in. Its eyes were a mix between yellow and orange, its ears were more fox-like overall. In all, it was more powerful than ever.

"I went through your memories of this Daemon brat, and we both know that in order for you to beat him, you will have to put aside your anger and fight without killing intent." Kurama stated.

"That's easier said than done," Naruto replied, "fighting an enemy without ill intent is nearly impossible."

"It's but you've done it before," the fox stated, knowing Naruto was the perfect one to fight someone with such abilities.

"I can't forgive him for what he did. His quest for power ruined countless lives and he was responsible for the deaths of even more." Naruto said as his eyes flashed orange, drawing on the Bijuu chakra in rage.

"I know, but if you want to beat him, you'll have to calm down." Kurama said. "You have to let go of the rage you're holding onto because it won't help you here. And be the man your past incarnation died to protect."

Naruto calmed down as he heard his partner's words. It wasn't his style to hold onto negative feelings towards anyone. The Uzumaki took a deep breath and temporarily entered a meditative state like the toad had taught him. He felt a weight come off his shoulders.

This was the difference between the two Kurama: the older one held a lot of hatred, while this one held no negative emotions; however, he was more of a guardian spirit.

Naruto got an idea and a smirk appeared on his face. He gave Kurama a "thank you" before exiting his mind. It seemed like no time passed as he was still talking with his partner.

Naruto saw Amado heading his way with his hand covered with natural lightning and fire. The Uzumaki waited until the Otsutsuki was an inch away and formed a Rasengan made of Bijuu chakra covered in natural wind and slammed it into the scientist's chest after ducking under the lightning and fire attacks.

Amado's eyes widened in shock and fear as the Uzumaki bypassed his reflection ability. The question plaguing his mind was, "how?" He had destroyed his village and killed many of his family and friends. How could he not be pouring out killing intent for his reflection to activate?

"Fine if my reflection doesn't work, I'll just beat you to death." Amado exclaimed as the two entered into an intense clash of fists that shook the world. Naruto drew on more natural energy than he ever had to keep up with Amado, who was getting stronger by the minute.

The clash lasted for minutes, but for the battling duo, it felt longer due to their super speeds. Naruto had landed a few hits, and he was taking a few that were slowly healing.

Amado was starting to weaken as more of Shibai's Otsutsuki power awakened inside him. It seemed that he had overestimated how much power his body and kind could handle.

Soon, Amado was using Code's claw marks to teleport while Naruto was using the Flying Thunder God Technique to keep up with him.

Naruto didn't plan on killing Amado, but he would seal his soul away so that even if he placed a Karma on someone, it would only be their power he gave them, and not his rotten spirit.

The battle came to a climax as Naruto used clones to pin a weakened Amado to the ground as he went through hand signs, yelling "Reaper Death Seal". A blinding light filled the area, and neither Naruto nor Amado could be seen afterward.

Witcher Continent...

Naruto woke up in a warm bed. The blonde didn't open his eyes immediately because he wanted to sense if there was anyone nearby with ill intent. When he found no one, he slowly opened his eyes. He saw a wooden ceiling and a room that looked like it had seen better days.

The door to the room cracked open and a young woman walked in, surprised to see him awake. Naruto guessed that she thought he would be in a coma from his injuries. The woman opened her mouth to speak, but the language she used was unlike anything Naruto had ever heard before. It was at that moment that Naruto knew he wasn't in Konoha anymore.
