Naruto looked at the place where the pirate king had been executed. He was born in a relatively safe town. His parents, both marines, died fighting one of the Pirate Emperors of the Sea when he was 3 years old and he was now 7.

They had left him a large sum of money and a house, at the time of their deaths is when Naruto awakened his past memories.

This caused the blonde to want to become stronger, not to avenge his parents, as he knew they wouldn't want him to throw his life away; however, so that he could protect his loved ones.

Thankfully, his parents knew in this life how dangerous this world is and left behind a devil fruit for him if he chooses to set sail.

Naruto used his knowledge from his past life and combined it with some training manuals (Naruto was surprised by how detailed the books were. He was sure if he mastered these books, he would be one of the most powerful people in the world. The books were about Haki, Rokushiki, and devil fruits.) He found ways to become stronger.

Flashback End...

The blonde didn't want to chain himself to the marines like he was in his past to Konoha. He loved Konoha but it was also a prison for him. He was unable to travel as he pleased and had to follow orders of others.

It seemed that the green-haired member of the Straw Hat Pirates wanted to be recognized as the strongest swordsman in the world. So, foolishly and bravely, he challenged Mihawk to a duel.

The battle ended just as anyone would expect. Mihawk won with little to no effort, but he gained a huge amount of respect from the green-haired man for challenging him fearlessly.

Naruto, inspired by the passion the Green-haired Man had to become the strongest swordsman in the world, remembered his past life and how much he'd aimed to be the Hokage. In this life, he was only drifting around without a clear objective in mind.

It made him envious, as he had no dream other than becoming stronger in this world.

Naruto's thoughts were interrupted when Don Krieg somehow survived, along with his subordinate Gin. He now wears a suit of golden armor.

Naruto sat back and watched the battle between Gin and Sanji. Gin won the battle, but he couldn't kill Sanji because of the compassion he showed him.

Don Krieg looked down on his subordinate with disgust. He couldn't believe how soft they were.

Now, it was a battle between captains. The captain of the Krieg Pirates and the captain of the Shaw Hat Pirates, Luffy.

The battle was hard fought. Luffy gave it his all and eventually defeated Don Krieg. Naruto could feel the passion that Luffy had for becoming the Pirate King throughout the battle.

Naruto knew that Luffy wouldn't be powerful for a while. He would eventually become one of the strongest in this world.

Fast Forward...

Naruto decided to follow the Straw Hat crew. They were following the orange-haired woman whom Naruto thought was one of their crewmates who had stolen their ship. The blonde could sense that there was a story there but he would just have to wait and see.

The battle wasn't all that impressive in Naruto's opinion, but he was happy that the Straw Hat Crew had defeated the Fish-Men.

Everything seemed to be going okay until Naruto felt another presence appeared from the water.
