Chapter 1: The Death of a Trainer, the Birth of a Legend.
Kanto Region...
Ash had done it again; he had lost the Indigo League for his second time. His two traveling companions, Misty and Brock, could only look at him with pity and a bit of something else.
Pikachu growled at his loser trainer and wished someone like Gary was his owner; even after losing the first time and having to go back to training and rechallenge the gyms (in the FF Ash didn't travel to the other regions when he lost the Kanto League, he trained and challenged it again), Ash had somehow managed to mess it up for them yet again.
Misty and Brock left Ash behind to wallow in his defeat while they went to the Pokémon Center with Pikachu limping behind them due to the injuries he sustained during the battle.
Ash watched as the crowd cheered on Gary, his rival and the new Kanto Champion, while he was all but forgotten; not even Professor Oak or his own mother seemed to care about him.
Ash tried to put up a strong front and walked over to his rival to congratulate him on a battle well fought.
"Of course I won, loser! I feel sorry for your Pokemon having to be under the care of someone who doesn't even know the basics of type advantages," Gary said with a smug look on his face as he publicly humiliated his childhood friend.
"Why do you have to be such a jerk, Gary?" Ash asked, wanting to punch him in the face.
"I am not being a jerk; what I am saying is a fact. I bet if your Pokémon had a choice, they would all abandon you and become my Pokémon," Gary replied with a cruel grin.
"No they wouldn't want to be trained by a person like you," Ash stated but he had some doubts in his mind Pikachu had been acting strange recently, he was disobeying his orders.
"Then prove it; let your Pokémon out and let them have a say in who they want as their trainer," Gary said as the crowd backed him up, shouting for Ash to just give his Pokémon to the superior trainer.
Ash felt he had no chance left; he let out all of his Pokémon he had with him (Butterfree, Pidgeotto, Bulbasaur, Charizard, and Squirtle). He told them about the bet and to his shock, they instantly went over to Gary's side.
The crowd cheered wildly as the now broken Ash just bowed his head and walked out of the stadium, feeling like his world had come crashing down on him. Tears fell from his eyes, but nobody noticed or cared.
Pokemon Center...
Ash had returned to his room at the Pokémon Center and went to bed; he was overwhelmed by everything that had happened today. Misty and Brock were nowhere to be seen, nor was Pikachu.
Ash woke up in the middle of the night after hearing a loud noise; he pretended to be asleep while listening to what was happening.
"I can't believe that fucker lost again," Misty said with venom in her voice.
"Yeah, he's nothing but a failure," Brock said. "It's a waste of time traveling with a person like him; he should just give up already - he'll never be Pokémon Champion."
"Pika pika!" Ash heard his first Pokémon and best friend agree with the people he thought were his friends, which shattered him into pieces.
Ash heard them packing their things while throwing insults at him; it would be minutes later before they finished and left the room, with Pikachu going with them.
Ash curled up on himself and cried until he couldn't anymore, falling into a deep sleep, praying that today had been nothing but a terrible nightmare.
Fast Forword...
Galar region[Wyndon]....
Championship League...
"Ladies and gentlemen, the final match between Gary Oak and the mystery masked trainer will now begin," the referee said as the crowd went wild. "It will be a three-on-three match. Now, trainers, send out your first Pokémon."
"I choose you, Umbreon," Gary shouted as he sent out the PokeBall containing his pokemon.
Across from Gary was a trainer wearing a clown mask and a hoodie to hide his identity. He was a powerful trainer who had been taking Pokémon by storm in the last few years.
The masked trainer has defeated the Kalos, Sinnoh, Hoenn, and Alola Leagues and later went on to defeat their champions.
"Heracross stand by for battle," the Mystery masked trainer said in an emotionless voice as he sent out his pokemon.
"Umbreon uses Shadow Ball now," Gary yelled at a ball of dark energy forming in front of the mouth of his Pokémon.
"Heracross dodged it and used Close Combat," the masked trainer said.
Heracross skillfully dodged the shadow ball and came from behind Umbreon. The bug-type Pokémon then used Close Combat, hitting Umbreon from behind.
"Umbreon no," Gary exclaims as he watches Pokémon take a critical hit.
In the stadium were Brock and Misty who had started to travel with Gary after the abandoned Ash.
"This masked trainer seemed really skilled with his Heracross," Brock said, wondering how the trainer got his Heracross to be so strong.
"I agreed you, but I still think Gary's gonna win," Misty said she sat right next to Brock.
Misty has always had a little bit of a fangirl streak. Now that she's traveling with Gary, she has become a full-blown fangirl who relishes in all of Gary's victories as if they were her own.
Brock, to be honest, was sick of Misty. He had agreed to travel with Gary only because of the cheerleaders he had with him. He figured he had at least scored one of them, but Misty, the gorilla she is, chased away all of those cheerleaders with her aggressive attitude.
Now it was only him, Misty, and Gary travelling together, and between the three, Brock was sick and tired of travelling with them. Gary was an asshole, and Misty was a bitch.
Brock focused on the battle between the Masked Trainer and Gary, completely ignoring Misty, and could clearly see that the Masked Trainer was much more skilled than Gary, and his Pokémon was at a higher level.
"Umbreon, get up!" Gary exclaimed as he watched his Pokemon struggle to get on its feet.
The masked trainer watched all this patiently, with his Heracross, just standing there, with his arms crossed. Not the least bit worried about Gary and his Umbreon.
Umbreon was on its feet, although shaken, waiting for Gary's next order, which came immediately with a shout of "feint attack."
"Heracross, don't move." The masked trainer said with a bored voice.
"Go Umbreon. Hit it with everything you've got," Gary exclaims.
The Feint attack hit Heracross in the chest, but the Bug-type Pokemon just get pushed back a few feet, seemingly unharmed.
"Now Heracross. Use Mega Punch," The Masked Trainer said quickly as Heracross' hand began to glow and soon he was embedded in the side of Umbreon's head, slamming it into the ground, creating a crater.
"Round 1 goes to the Masked-trainer," the referee exclaimed, not needing to even look at Umbreon to know that it had been knocked out.
The crowd went wild. Misty was in disbelief at Gary's loss in the first round, but she quickly reassured herself that Gary would win the next two rounds. However, Brock shook his head. This might be the end of Gary Oak.
"Now it's time for round two. Send out your second Pokémon," the referee exclaimed.
"Go Blastoise," Gary exclaims, sending out one of his strongest Pokemon, his starter.
"It's your turn, Lucario," The Masked Trainer sent out his second pokemon, who looked at Blastoise, and got glared at, Lucario smirked.
"Blastoise, use Hydro Pump!" Gary yelled at his Pokémon.
"Lucario used Aura Sphere," the masked trainer said. Both attacks collided and exploded, cancelling each other out.
"Lucario, use focus punch on blastoise now." Masked Trainer ordered. This is Pokemon charged at the water type.
"Blastoise, use Withdraw." Gary ordered as the Blastoise's head and legs went into its shell.
"Lucario, don't falter. Keep on your attack. Use Focus Punch on its Shell and don't let up," The Mysterious Trainer said.
"Blastoise used Rapid Spin," Gary yelled out. Blastoise's shell began to spin, forcing Lucario to jump away.
"Lucario, let's end this farce of a battle," The Master Trainer said as he touched the crystal on the wristband on his hand.
The wristband on Lucario's hand also begins to glow. As intense light overtook the Steel-Type Pokémon, it began to change.
"Lucario, Mega Evolved," The mysterious Trainer said as his Pokemon finished evolving.
At the stadium, everyone was stunned because they had never seen anything like this before. However, only a few people who actually knew him realized that the mysterious trainer had evolved his Pokémon into its Mega form.
"Now, let's try this again. Lucario, Aura Spere, use full power," The Masked Trainer orders.
"Blastoise, use Hydro Pump. Give it everything you got," Gary said.
Two attacks clashed, but in the end, the Aura Spear overpowered Blastoise's Hydro Pump, and collided with the water Pokémon.
"Blastoise cannot battle. The victory goes to the masked trainer," the referee declared.
The crowd went wild. They were cheering for the Masked Trainer, who seemed to be dominating the Pokémon battle so far. Gary was in shock that he had lost two of his Pokémon, while he hadn't been able to take down one of the mysterious Trainers.
In this band Misty was also in shock. Gary was losing and badly at that. For some reason she felt all her attraction towards the trainer leave her. she started to think that she might leave after this was all over and find someone who wasn't a loser.
Brock saw the look on Misty's face and couldn't help but shake his head. In the past few years, he had started to feel bad about how they had treated Ash. But it was too late to do anything about it now.
Back with the match between the mysterious trainer and Gary. The referee stepped forward to announce
"This will be the third and final match of this Pokemon battle. Both trainers have sent out their last Pokemon," the referee declared.
Gary sent out his third Pokemon, and to everyone's surprise, it was the former Pikachu of Ash, now belonging to Gary. "Go, Pikachu!"
The Masked trainer shook his head in disappointment, disappointed not only with Gary's poor performance but also with Pikachu's betrayal of his former trainer.
The mysterious trainer decided to teach them both a lesson by sending out his last Pokemon. "Go, Raichu!"
Pikachu glared at Raichu with hatred. Pikachu hated Raichu because it is its most evolved form. He refused to evolve into a Raichu no matter what. He wanted to prove that he could be powerful even as a Pikachu.
"Pikachu used Thunderbolt." Gary exclaimed, as if that one attack would win in the battle.
Raichu just stand there and take the attack as its trainer said, showing how much it trusts the man behind the mask.
The attack hit Raichu dead center and kicked up an explosion that obscured everyone's view of the Pokémon. Gary looked on with triumph as the mysterious trainer simply crossed his arms and waited for the smoke to clear.
When the smoke cleared, Raichu was unharmed, looking bored at his pre-evolved enemy. Not impressed at all at the display of power.
"Raichu, you used Thunderbolt!" The mysterious trainer's Pokemon responded without hesitation.
A massive amount of lightning was discharged by Raichu and it headed straight for Pikachu. When the lightning struck, Pikachu felt only pain before an explosion kicked up a massive amount of dust.
When the smoke settled, Pikachu was flat on its back. Despite being seriously hurt, it still wasn't knocked out; the Electric rodent Pokémon tried to get to its feet. Raichu looked on in admiration of Pikachu's will.
Gary watched as Pikachu got its feet. He had a look of disappointment on his face as to how his electric-type Pokemon was useless against Raichu. Maybe he'll have to get a new Pokemon after all.
"Pikachu, don't fail me now. Get up and use Quick Attack." Gary said, with a look of frustration on his face.
"Raichu, use Mega Punch,' the Masked Trainer had said.
The two Pokémon charged at each other, with Pikachu using his Quick Attack to speed up and catch up to Raichu, who was pulling his hand back to deliver a devastating Mega Punch. This caused Pikachu to fly out of the arena and hit the wall, slumping down unconscious.
The winner of the match is Raichu. The winner of this year's Champion League is the Masked Trainer," the referee shouted trying to make the audience even more excited.
The crowd went wild as they cheered the masked trainer, who had defeated all of his opponents in this tournament.
Gary felt his knees, with a look of devastation on his face. He had lost to some nobody in his mind. So he was as big a loser as Ash.
Misty stood in the stands, looking at Gary with disgust. He was nothing but a loser. Then she turned her gaze to the masked trainer as he continued to leave the stadium. Her eyes followed him. In her mind, maybe she had been going after the wrong person all this time.
Brock couldn't help but shake his head at how misty was acting. She was jumping from one man to the next just because Gary had lost. She didn't even care about the person himself; she just wanted to be with a strong trainer.
It was with this decision that Brock decided he was going to head back home and leave all those people behind. Maybe if he ran into Ash one more time, he would apologize for the way he had acted. Being around Misty and Gary made him realize that he was becoming a horrible person.
The masked trainer just walked out of the stadium, not looking back and not caring about anyone else's there. He made his way to his home, which was a massive mansion located nearby the forest—it was one of his many bases.
Forest [Wyndon].....
The mass trainer entered a two-story house that was hidden by several large trees. It wasn't the most impressive home, but it was enough for him and his guests when he had them over.
As the masked trainer took off his mask and hoodie, he revealed blond hair and blue eyes with a face that had tree whiskers growing from its feet.
Naruto shook his head at disappointment in Gary and Ash's former two friends, who had abandoned him in his time of need.
Naruto remembers being reincarnated in this world. He was born five years older than Ash, making him 18. When he went on his Pokémon journey, he was 12.
Naruto could remember how he had died in his previous life at an old age. He had lived a long time and his sons had created a peaceful world. He had passed away in his sleep with a smile on his face, but before he knew it, he opened his eyes again and he was born in this new world.
Naruto had an average childhood. When he grew up, he decided to become a Pokemon trainer just for fun.
As luck would have it, he was an exceptionally good trainer. His first Pokemon, which was his starter Pokemon, Charmander, was with him every step of the way.
He would challenge gyms and enter tournaments and he would always win. And the more he won, the less interested he became in Pokemon battling. Until he saw his brother Ash getting defeated by Gary.
Naruto saw how Ash's friends abandoned him, and how all his Pokemon had either left or gone with Gary. This made him both sad and angry, but before Naruto could reach Ash, his younger brother jumped off a cliff and died.
The blonde found his brother's mangled body and was tempted to kill Gary and Ash's friends, making them pay for what they did to his brother. But he knew Ash wouldn't want him to do that. So instead, Naruto decided that he would crush Gary and everyone who had abandoned Ash in his time of need, one by one, taking away their dreams and making them pray for death.
Naruto shook his head at that depressing thought, but he felt two warm soft hands encircle him from behind, pulling him into a hug.
The blonde turned her head to see a woman with blonde hair and blue eyes. Her name is Cynthia, the former Sinnoh champion whom he had defeated and took the title from.
You would think that the former Sinnoh champion would be angry at him for defeating her and taking her title. But as it turns out, she wasn't. Instead, she started to flirt with him and as she put it, she wanted to breed with him. The Superior Trainer.
When Naruto asked why she didn't just go to one of her other companions or the other champions to breed, she pointed out that they all were either weirdos or already in a relationship. And now that she found someone who's somewhat normal and a powerful trainer, she wants to start a family of her own.
Cynthia offered that she wouldn't force him to take care of the child or ask for anything after they did the deed.
Her offer was somewhat tempting, but the blonde made it clear that if any child is born to him, he would want to be a part of their life, regardless. When Cynthia heard the blonde say that, she smiled.
"Stop hogging him," said a feminine voice. Another woman with dark hair and blue eyes entered the room.
"What do you mean stop hogging him? He's going to be my future husband, Diantha!" Cynthia stated as she placed Naruto's hand between her chest.
That's right, The other woman in the room is Diantha, the Champion of the Kalos League. Like Cynthia, she was defeated by the blonde.
Naruto watched as the two champions bickered over who would be his legal wife and who would be the mistress. He ignored this and focused on how he was going to get his revenge for his brother's death.
