Chapter 16: All Hail the Fire Lord!

Royal Palace [Fire Nation Capital]....

From her deceased father's throne, now her own, Azula looked out upon the gathered crowd of high-ranking Fire Nation soldiers and Fire Sages, as well as nobles. They had all heard of Ozai's death and, like vultures, had come to see how they could increase their own power.

Azula looked around at those present - General Bujing, General Gong, General Onomu, and the others whom she had briefly met during her father's war councils.

Sage Shyu and the Great Sage, along with the other sages, were there, glaring at Naruto. Azula noticed they must be loyalists to her father, the former Fire Lord; she would have to snuff out any thoughts of rebellion in their heads before they took root too deeply.

Naruto stood behind the throne, not really paying attention to what was happening around him; Azula knew that he was still mourning over the loss of his two lovers, who died yesterday.

Azula herself lost her father to the blonde's hands, but she didn't feel sad at all; in fact, she felt relief. People might think she was a monster, but her father Ozai was the real monster.

As the princess of the Fire Nation, Ozai had made it his mission to groom her not for the throne but to produce a male heir with the person of his choosing to breed a strong successor to one day take his place.

Ozai had made it very clear to her from a young age she would never sit on the throne she was now occupying, nor would her failure of a brother; her only use to him was her firebending and her womb.

If she weren't a powerful bender, she had little doubt that she would be tied to a mattress and bred by the strongest benders in the nation until she produced the perfect heir for her father. If those benders failed to produce the male heir he sought, he might take matters into his own hands and breed his perfect heir into her himself.

Ozai always said she looked like her mother so it wasn't a straight to think he had no problem with putting a baby into her, speaking about breeding, Azula placed a hand on her stomach; she might be pregnant from the amount of semen the blonde released inside her. Azula's eyes went to Ty Lee and Mai who were standing by their respective families; her children would need future playmates and who better to produce those playmates than her two friends.

Ty Lee wouldn't put up much of a resistance to the idea, she was always the more submissive one; but Mai might be a problem. She had a crush on her brother, which she couldn't see why he is an idiot and a failure.

She glanced at Naruto and sighed; she was still sore from their lovemaking. She had given up her virginity, both to calm the blonde down and to bind him to her.

In the morning, the blonde had woken up with a panic attack, remembering what had happened to his lovers, she managed to calm him down by hugging herself to him, which led to an intense round of fucking that made her already sore pussy numb; right now, she was sitting on a very soft cushion, but her pussy was on fire. She willed her pain to the back of her mind while focusing on the present.

The positions they both are in are explosive to say the least, Naruto has killed the Fire Lord her father, which is a crime beyond treason, it is regicide.

Azula knew she had to assume the role of Fire Lord, something she had always wanted in order to prevent her nation from becoming enemies with the blonde lightning bender, they already had too many as it is.

The fire bender of blue flames knew she was not safe either; some nobles and soldiers might try to take the throne from her, either by killing her and forcing her to marry one of them or a relative of theirs.

This is where the blonde comes into play, she is the rightful heir of Ozai by blood and Naruto is simply overwhelmingly powerful with those two factors they can take the throne and she can pardon him for his crimes but they have to stand united.

"As you all may know, my father, Fire Lord Ozai, is dead. The one who did the deed is my soon-to-be husband," Azula stated with a straight face already knowing what she said would cause.

That statement caused the room to explode in protest from almost everyone present; shouts for the blonde's death were among the more polite things being said, she even thought she heard someone call her a traitorous whore, and she was almost certain it came from a Fire Sage.

"Silence!" Azula yelled, but to her annoyance, the crowd ignored her and continued shouting nonsense, making her lose her temper. She glanced in Naruto's direction and gave him a nod; he returned it.

"Enough!" Naruto shouted as he fired a massive amount of lightning through the crowd, causing them to panic; however, it passed by them without touching anyone.

Azula smirked as she saw that everyone looked at the blonde with fear in their eyes; for the first time, they truly understood that this was the man who had killed the Fire Lord, the most powerful Firebender in the nation.

"Now that I have all of your attention, the reason I called you all here is simple," Azula said as her eyes swept over everyone. "You are all to swear loyalty to me and recognize me as the new Fire Lord."

"And if we refuse?" General Onomu asked with an emotionless look on his face.

Then she said, "If you do not obey, you will be put to death," which caused the crowd to fall silent. "Now, who will be the first to kneel before me?"

Azula watched as everyone looked at one another to see who would kneel and who wouldn't; she watched her friend Ty Lee kneel, followed by Mai.

In the end, the only ones left standing were some of the Fire Sages, including the Great Sage, and several generals, including Onomu.

Naruto looked at the people standing before him with empty eyes that were filled with killing intent; the blonde didn't see the people, only Ozai in their places. Without a second thought, Naruto disappeared in a flash of lightning and swiftly cut down anyone on their feet.

A General that Azula had never met shouted in rage as another one of his comrades was killed; before he could do anything, however, the blonde's hand was rammed through his chest, destroying his heart.

The Great Sage fired a bolt of lightning at Naruto seeing he was distracted, but the blonde grabbed it and used it as a whip to cut the sage in half; the Great Sage had a shocked look on his face as he died.

"Wait, don't kill us!" cried a cowardly noble. "We will swear our loyalty to Fire Lord Azula now." But Naruto wouldn't have any of it.

"You made your choice when you didn't fall to your knees in the first place," Naruto said as lightning started to crackle in his hand ominously. "Now die."

Naruto beheaded the noble, causing his blood to fly out of his headless body and splatter on those closest to him. Soon, the kneeling noble fainted from the gruesome scene, while the others were relieved that they hadn't let their greed consume them, avoiding a horrible end.

"You can't do this," General Onomu said as he launched a hail of fireballs at the blonde. But Naruto just danced around his attacks. "Princess, call your attack dog off so we can talk about this like civilized people."

"Oh my!" Azula exclaimed in amusement as the petrified man realized he couldn't win. "You think I have anything to talk to you about?" she asked in a mocking tone. The man stared at her in fear, realizing he had no chance against the lightning bender. "Naruto isn't my attack dog," she continued. "He is my fiance, so please die so we can get on to the main event."

"Think about what you're doing," General Onomu yelled at Azula, but only got a blank look in response before he felt a sharp pain, then he could fall forward into his final moments of life, the general noticed he could still see his feet standing firmly on the ground below. As he looked up, he realized the blonde had cut him in half from the waist down.

The throne room of the royal palace was filled with the screams of pain before there was silence as the last person who refused to swear loyalty to Azula died.

The room was filled with blood-covered corpses everywhere with everyone who was still alive covered in blood except for Azula and strangely enough, Naruto. The blonde returned to Azula's side with his task done.

"Now that we've got the nasty business out of the way, who wants to swear their loyalty to me first?" she asked, but there was an underlying threat.

Azula watched as everyone still alive scrambled to their feet to make the vow to be loyal to her and recognize her as the new Fire Lord.

The new Fire Lord looked at her two friends, Mai and Ty Lee, who were tense as they saw her looking at them with a gleam in her eye, smiling ever so sweetly at them.

Azula broke her gaze as she turned to the remaining fire sages. "Since I am the new Fire Lord, I think it's time you crowned me properly." She stated, as the Fire Sages were usually the ones to crown a new Fire Lord.

"Yes, Fire Lord Azula," Sage Shyu said as he and the remaining fire sages went to retrieve the fire lord's traditional crown and placed it upon her head.

"We, the Fire Sages, recognize Azula as the new Fire Lord. May she reign long, and may our lives be spared," The audience awkwardly cheered, knowing their lives were at stake.

Azula found what the sage said amusing, but she didn't let it show on her face. "As my first act as Fire Lord, I will clear my future husband of any crimes he has committed, including killing the previous Fire Lord." The daughter of Ozai said, but no one was surprised.

It seems as if Naruto and Azula are a power couple, with the power to destroy anyone who stands against them. She has the blood of royalty and the right to the throne of the Fire Lord, giving her control of the Fire Nation; no one could stand against her with Naruto by her side.

"Now that you all have become my subjects, I swear that we will succeed where all my predecessors failed, and the Fire Nation will dominate the world," Azula said with a dark smirk.

To the crowd, it seemed as if they were looking at Fire Lord Ozai, only in a younger female body; this thought made them shudder, for better or worse, change was imminent.

"You are all dismissed for now; we will have a more formal coronation ceremony at a later date, but for now leave my sight," Azula ordered. "Ty Lee and Mai, you remain here."

Azula watched everyone leave at various paces; the nobles all but ran, while the generals and sages attempted to save face by walking briskly.

Ty Lee and Mai approached the throne where Azula was seated slowly, not knowing what to expect. Ty Lee looked nervous, while Mai remained stoic.

"You two look like I am going to have you executed for no reason," Azula joked. "Relax, we are friends, aren't we?"

"If we had remained standing, would you have spared us?" Mai asked suddenly, causing Ty Lee to look at her with wide eyes before they darted to Azula.

"I would have watched you die," the new Fire Lord replied honestly. "You know I can't let my personal feelings cloud my judgment, but I would have been devastated if you had died."

Mai and Ty Lee looked shocked at this and the look of sadness that came across Azula's face as she imagined a world where her only two friends stood against her and she would have to kill them.

"Naruto, would you be a dear and get someone to clean up the mess you caused while I have some girl talk with my friends?" Azula asked as she slowly rose to her feet and limped away, with Mai and Ty Lee following after her.

Mai and Ty Lee noticed the way Azula was walking and blushed deeply before they shot a look at Naruto, showing they knew exactly what had happened the night before.

The new Fire Lord didn't wait to hear Naruto's reply to the blonde annoyance, but he guessed that he could have some guards clean up the dead bodies while he went home to check on Kya and Sha.

Naruto sighed; he would have to send Nalu's body back to her parents, and Chia he would have to bury her himself, as she had no living relatives.

Thinking about his two dead lovers filled him with sadness and rage; they didn't have to die, if they had only waited for him to return. The blonde was sure he could have fooled Ozai into letting them go, or he would have simply killed the Fire Lord anyway.

There are so many things he and Azula have to do to protect the Fire Nation from enemies both within and without, but for now, he will have to make some difficult decisions about his future and that of this closest to him.
