Chapter 12: Here comes The Thunder

Fire Nation...

Naruto stood inside the royal palace; Ozai had summoned him here for a mission, which annoyed the blonde because Chia and Nalu were due to arrive any day now.

The blonde didn't want to take the mission, which was to find and destroy a group of twenty earth benders who had been attacking Fire Nation colonies in the earth kingdom.

Many Fire Nation natives have been killed by them and they've become even more vicious in their methods; according to reports, they impaled the male population of all ages on spikes and sold the women into Earth Kingdom slave rings.

If the blonde had to guess, the Earth Benders were attacking Fire Nation colonies that used to be Earth Kingdom territories because they wanted to take back their land.

The funny thing is that some of the Fire Nation natives were born there and have lived their whole lives there, so while the land may originally have been from Earth Kingdoms, it is now a part of the Fire Nation.

With a heavy heart, Naruto accepted the mission and headed out after having a brief meeting with Azula and then with Kya and Sha when he packed to go; the blonde didn't plan on taking a team with him because they would slow him down and he wanted to finish the mission as quickly as possible.

Fire Nation Colony...

The Earth Benders who were attacking the Fire Nation colonies were not really smart because their pattern was obvious to anyone with half a brain.

They were just attacking villages from east to west, one after another. Naruto just had to wait for them to come here and he would eliminate them.

Fire Nation Capital...

Chia and Nalu had come to the Fire Nation Capital to hear their blond boyfriend out after he had been sending them letters nonstop since they got angry and left him because he got himself engaged to the Princess of the Fire Nation.

To be fair, they knew it wasn't his fault, but it was so frustrating having to share him with other women.

"So, do you think we should just forgive that blonde idiot?" Chia asked Nalu since they both loved their shared boyfriend, even though he was a huge pervert.

"We will after making him sweat for a few days," Nalu replied with an evil smirk, causing Chia to move away from her.

"You are an evil bitch sometimes, you know that." Chia stated in an overly dramatic tone.

"I know and I love that about myself," Nalu said while laughing like a villain.

The two shared a look and burst out laughing; they eventually calmed down and left for Naruto's house. But as they approached, they were stopped by Fire Nation soldiers.

"The fire lord demands your presence," the soldier who they assumed was the leader said.

"Can I ask why the Fire Lord wants to see us?" Nalu asked politely.

"That isn't something you need to know right now; come with us peacefully," the soldier demanded.

Fire Nation Colony...

Naruto was patiently waiting for the earth bender to attack; however, as the day turned into night, he began to doubt himself and wonder if he had chosen the wrong location or if the earth bender was actually smarter than he initially thought.

"Fuck, did I choose the wrong place?" the blonde asked. "Sigh, I guess I'll just stay here for a while longer before moving on."

Naruto watched as a family of three (a husband, wife, and child) from the Fire Nation walked out of a restaurant after eating dinner and talked happily with each other when suddenly the ground opened up and swallowed them whole before closing up killing them instantly.

The blonde said, "They're here." Naruto got ready for any attack while keeping his eyes on the ground as the family was sucked into it.

Naruto waited until the benders revealed themselves before he disappeared in a flash. The first earth bender the blonde saw didn't know what had happened until his head was sliding off his shoulders.

"You fucker, I'm going to kill you!" shouted an earth bender as he and his comrades launched spikes and boulders at the blonde.

"Was it something I did that made them mad?" Naruto asked as he held the head of his first kill of the day; the attacks from the earth benders were coming closer and closer.

The Lightning General dodged them with ease and smiled at the Earth Benders. "I don't suppose that any of you want to surrender," he said, getting back curses and huge chunks of earth being thrown at him.

Fast Forward...

The blonde covered in blood could only sigh sadly at all the dead Earth Benders surrounding him; he didn't really want to kill them, but this was war, and if he let them go, they would just attack another Fire Nation colony.

Naruto said, "I better check around to see if there are any other enemies nearby." As he spoke, he began searching the area and sent any Fire Nation natives to safety.

Fire Nation Palace...

Nalu and Chia stood before the Fire Lord, who looked upon them as if they were insignificant ants he could squash at any moment. In terms of power, he was leagues ahead of them.

"You too are the women my soon-to-be son-in-law has kept company around him," Ozai stated as he watched a naked woman with brown hair and green eyes sucking his cock.

"Hmm...I can see what he finds so attractive about both of you," the Fire Lord said as he watched the two women over with barely hidden lust in his eyes.

Nalu and Chia shiver in disgust but Nalu being a noblewoman was more used to dealing with people in high positions so she decided to take the lead.

"Thank you for saying that, my lord," Nalu replied with a small bow of her head. "And may I ask the reason for needing our presence today?"

The Fire Lord didn't answer immediately; instead, he seemed to be enjoying the blowjob the woman between his thighs was giving him. Ozai grabbed her hair and started to thrust his cock inside her mouth until he came, making the poor woman swallow all of his seed.

"As the future father-in-law of the Lightning General, it would be foolish of me not to know everyone he associates himself with." Ozai answered as the naked woman next to him was gasping for air.

"I don't think I understand you, my lord," Nalu said, finding the fire lord's statement to be ridiculous. She didn't know him personally, but she knew his reputation, and she knew he cared only about power. "Did you call us here to get to know us better?"

"That is one way to look at it," the Fire Lord said with amusement. "From now on, you two will be the guests of the Royal Family, and you must remain within the Royal Palace."

Now Nalu and Chia were getting nervous; "What about our duties and families?" Nalu asked, trying to find a way out of the current situation.

"There is no need to worry about that; I am the Fire Lord, and my word is law. You are to remain here." Ozai said firmly, with a voice that left no doubt in their minds that he would not be changing his mind.

Nalu and Chia could only nod, but inwardly they were afraid of what the Fire Lord had in mind for them.

"It was good to see that you understood, so the guards took them to the guest room and made sure they remained there." The Fire Lord ordered the two Royal Elite Soldiers that were hiding in the room.

They appeared with a "Yes sir," and they ushered the women out of the throne room. Ozai smirked as his plans to gain control of the Lightning General started to come together.

Fire Nation Colony...

Naruto was making a final check around the colony when he discovered the trail of freshly moved earth. He would normally assume it was from the earth benders he had eliminated earlier, but he decided to scout a little further from the colony just to be sure.

"Has anyone from the advance attack team returned yet?" a masculine voice asked.

Naruto heard it coming from the nearby forest clearing, so he stealthily made his way over keeping himself hidden in the shadows.

"Nobody has come back yet; something must have gone wrong." another male voice answered.

Naruto could barely make them out, but he could see eight men, all well-built, and from the sounds of it, they were the comrades of the earth benders he had just killed.

"What should we do now? It would be dangerous for us to go to the Fire Nation Colony without knowing what happened there." A new male stated.

"Don't call that place a Fire Nation colony; it is Earth Kingdom land the Fire Nation just claimed unjustly for themselves." The man who spoke first said firmly.

"We will attack them, but first we must deal with this little spy," a new voice said, sending everyone into a tense state as pieces of sharpened earth landed next to Naruto, forcing him out of his hiding spot.

"Hey there! I don't suppose you would believe me if I said I was out for a late-night stroll?" Naruto asked, giving a winning smile.

The Earth Benders didn't reply with words, but the earth beneath the blonde started to shake, making him jump away into a tree, which saved his life as lava came spilling out of the ground.

Naruto's eyes widened as he saw what he was seeing; it seemed that some earth benders could bend lava.

"Since when could Earth benders bend lava?" Naruto asked, and surprisingly, someone answered.

"You firebenders think that you're the only ones who can bend something other then your basic element." The leader, Naruto assumed as he was the one bending the lava and sent it in the blonde's direction.

Naruto fired his lightning at the lava, causing a small explosion and kicking up smoke in the area. He used this opportunity to his advantage.

The voice of a short but muscular Earthbender exclaimed, "He's coming at us from the left!" Everyone immediately attacked in that direction.

Naruto barely managed to escape, but a giant rock hit him in the arm, causing it to bleed; from what just happened, the blonde now had a basic understanding of the earth bender's abilities.

They can all Earth Bend, but some can sense vibrations through the Earth; one can Lava Bend. He was sure that he could use their abilities to his advantage. The Lava Bender had to be careful not to kill his comrades, and the ones informing everyone of his location may only be able to sense him when he's touching the ground, giving him a slight advantage since he can attack from the air by using his Lightning Bending to magnetize his feet, allowing him to levitate.

Fire Palace...

"Shit! Shit! Shit!" Chia exclaimed as she paced back and forth in the room they had been given.

"We have to stay calm and think of something; please sit down." Nalu replied as she patted the bed next to her.

"How can you be so calm in a situation like this?" Chia asked Nalu, as the fire bender didn't seem to be stressed out like she was.

"That is because I see the situation for what it is," Nalu replied. "We are, in fact, hostages and are going to be used by the Fire Lord to keep Naruto on a leash. We won't be harmed because that would just cause Naruto to openly rebel against the Fire Lord."

"So we are just pawns then." Chia said, making Nalu nod. "What can we do?"

"Right now, we have two options: We can stay here, or try to escape. Both have very severe consequences." Nalu replied. "I know what I want to do, but I want to hear what you will do first. Then I will tell you what I plan to do."

Chia was about to answer when a thought came to her. "If the fire lord thinks Naruto is so dangerous, he would have to do something like this to keep him in line," she said. "So why doesn't he just kill him?"

"That is simple because Naruto is powerful, he is also well-liked by the majority of the Fire Nation, and he can possibly pass on his lightning bending to his children, which will be an asset in the future. All these facts make Naruto too valuable to kill." Nalu stated. "Now, what do you want to do?"

Chia nodded at what Nalu said and she was right; so what should she do, stay here where she would be safe but be used to keep her boyfriend in check, or escape and potentially cause an incident?

She opened her mouth and told Nalu what she had decided.

Forest Close to Fire Nation Colony...

"Hey, why don't you surrender?" Naruto said as he had managed to kill the lava bender with a blitz attack.

"Screw you!" the only uninjured Earthbender replied as he looked around him; his comrades were either dead or dying.

"Well, that's just rude," the blonde lightning bender said.

"What kind of monster are you? No one should have that kind of power," the Earth Kingdom native shouted, but he was silenced when Naruto appeared behind him and impaled him through the heart with his hand covered in lightning.

"Well, that's that; I wasted too much time here already," the Lightning General stated. "I have a date with two beautiful women after all."

Naruto proceeded to eliminate the earth benders that were still alive, looking through their bodies and belongings to see if they had anything on them to determine whether the attacks were random or something more.

Naruto found a picture with one of the men with a woman with two small children; a boy and a girl. They all looked happy. Naruto felt guilty for ending the man's life, but this was war.
