Chapter 1: Beginnings and Meetings

Attilan [The Moon]

Naruto looked down at the earth from his place in the inhuman royal palace. His mind was on his little sister who had just gone through Terrigenesis and come out unchanged to his worry because that meant she would be sent to the mines.

The genetic counselor was running tests on his sister, hopefully it will show Miko's powers were just not obvious or something that takes special circumstances to activate.

"I will not lose my sister the same way as I lost my parents," Naruto said to himself, as he remembered how he lost them.

Flashback Scene Ahead

Low-Class House [Naruto's Home]

Morning Time

A 12-year old Naruto was with his parents as they were preparing to go to the mines, they were some of the unluck inhumans to go through Terrigenesis and come out unchanged.

Miko, a cute 7-year-old girl with red hair and blue eyes, was looking at her parents with worry. The mines have become unstable lately, but the higher-ups didn't care about the safety of the workers; they just wanted their precious gems and resources.

"Don't give us that look, you two. We will be okay," Kushina, the mother of Naruto and Miko, said with a smile.

"Listen to your mother, we will be back soon and you two can have anything you want to for dinner," Minato said as he brought his wife and children into a comforting hug.

The two children felt a little better, but they could not help shake the bad feeling they had as they watched their parent leave to go to work.

Fast Forward [Night Time]

KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK

Naruto and Miko ran to the door of their home in excitement thinking that their parent came back but to their disappointment it was the next door neighbor, a middle age man with brown hair and eyes, he had a sad look on his face.

"Where are our parents?" Naruto said, but to his horror, his neighbor's head dropped in sadness and had a look of pity in his eyes.

"I am sorry to tell you this but your parents died earlier today in the mines, the cave collapsed on top of them," the man replied in a emotionless voice "I am sorry for you lose, if there is anything you need don't be afraid to ask me and the others, Minato and Kushina were our friend."

The man left after he delivered the bad news but offered to have the children over at his home to eat something when they are ready.

"Mom and Dad are dead," Miko said softly as tears began to fall down her face, the reality of the situation hitting her hard. "What are we going to do, brother?"

Naruto didn't replied immediately as he too was at a lose bit he wrapped his arm around Miko and hug the small girl as she cried on his chest until she fell asleep due to stress and sadness.

"I will protect you, Miko, no matter the cost," Naruto said as he combed his fingers through his sister's hair. He didn't cry, even though he felt like something inside him was broken. In place of sadness, there was a blinding rage and hate for the system and the people who caused their parents' death.

That night Miko sleep in Naruto's bed, her small arms wrapped tightly around her brother afraid that he would leave her too if she let him go, the blonde had a restless sleep, he dreamt about someone that looked like him fighting against men and beasts with powers to reshape the earth.

Flashback Scene End

The death of his parents caused Naruto to recall his past life as Naruto Uzumaki as the seventh and strongest hokage. It saddened him that even reborn he was destined to lose his parents, but the one thing that kept him going was his cute little sister Miko. She was the new light in his life.

The siblings were given barely enough food to survive by some of the other inhumans that were friends with there parents but they were mostly left to fend for themselves but Naruto didn't mind because with his memories of being Naruto Uzumaki he was able to use his past knowledge to survive and take care of Miko.

Time passed and Miko had turned thirteen like all other Inhuman before her, she had gone through Terrigenesis but she came out of the ritual the same.

This left Naruto in a position that he will have to make a difficult decision, he will not let his sister die inside the mines like his parents so the only other option is to escape to earth and build a life for themselves there among the humans.

It would be hard to escape, but not impossible, especially with his power, Naruto thought as he remembered how his own Terrigenesis went.

Flashback Scene Ahead

Terrigen Chambers

Naruto had to suppress the look of hate that he wanted to give the genetic counsel, those old fossils were the reason his parents died, he wish he still had his powers so he could rip them apart but he didn't and had to endure being near them.

"Step into the Terrigenesis tank and we will begin," Naruto heard one of the old men say, and he did as instructed.

The tank was filled with Terrigen mist and Naruto felt like his body was on fire but as soon as it started it stopped and was released.

"How do you feel, has anything changed," one of the members of the genetic counsel asked as he watched the blonde with interest "Do you know what your power is."

"He looks the same," another one of the counsel said as he had a look of disappointment on his face. "He might not have any powers like his parents."

Naruto listened to the counsel members talk about his dead parents and it made him angry, those sons of a bitches were the ones responsible for his party death or maybe he shouldn't place all the blame on them, Naruto thought as he glanced at the royal family, they are also part of the problem by following the rigid system that your power determines your place in society.

"Come with us, we will run some tests to see if you really don't have powers," one of the council members who ridiculed his dead parents for their powerlessness ordered.

As the man reached for Naruto, the blonde instinctively raised his hand. The council member's arm touched Naruto's hand, and he instantly blew up, leaving behind only a bloody smear.

Everyone jumped back from Naruto and the royal family looked on, it would be a few seconds before every one got over their shock and guard came to take Naruto away to a holding cell.

"Stay in there and don't do anything funny," one of the guards said, being extra careful not to touch the blonde.

"Someone from the genetic counsel will come by to do some tests on you soon," another guard said as they exited the cell, leaving Naruto alone.

It would be two days later and a array of test that it would reveal that Naruto had to power to deconstruct and reconstruct matter, Black Bolt, the King of the Inhumans had the blonde released from his cell and brought to him.

"Black Bolt says that he will pardon you for the mishap from earlier, but in exchange, you will have to become a royal guard," Medusa, the wife of Black Bolt, said on her husband's behalf.

Naruto didn't want the position, but he kept quiet and just nodded his head. On the inside, he was disgusted with all this. His mother and father were some of the strongest and smartest people around, and because they didn't have powers, they were forced to work in the mines. Now he, who was nowhere as talented, got one of the highest positions in inhuman society just because he had a dangerous and useful power.

"Excellent, you can go back home now, tomorrow you will be give a new place to live and begin training as a royal guard," Medusa said with a small smile that made Naruto want to use his power to wipe it off her face but he knew Black Bolt would kill him before he got within a foot of them.

"Thank you my King and Queen, I am honored," Naruto said but just wanted to go home and make sure his sister was doing okay.

After Medusa took Naruto some detail of where to come tomorrow and a little bit of what his train will be like and his new duties he was dismissed.

Naruto's Home

Naruto moved as fast as he could until he got home. As soon as he entered, Miko threw herself at him with tears in her red eyes.

Naruto took in his sister's appearance. She looked skinnier than he remembered, indicating that she might not have eaten or bathed since he was away for two days. All in all, she appeared to be a mess.

"Calm down Miko, I am okay and I am not going anywhere," Naruto said as he pet Miko's head "everything is going to be alright."

"But I heard that you got into trouble in the royal palace," Miko said as she rubbed her eyes. "They said you were arrested."

"News traveled fast," Naruto commented, he knew the High and Low class inhumans will have their ears open during all Terrigenesis rituals, it was the most entertainment they got on this boring place "It was just a misunderstanding during my Terrigenesis nothing to worry about."

"So do you have to work in the mines now?" Miko asked, her lip quivered as she held back tears. She must have thought that her brother didn't get a power like their parents: "I don't want you to go in the mines."

"Don't cry, Miko. I am not going into the mines," Naruto replied as he tried to comfort his sister. "I am going to be a royal guard."

"What! really," Miko asked with wide eyes. Being a royal guard is a big deal after all. "So do you have a cool power."

Naruto demonstrated his power to his sister by touching the ground. It broke apart, and he instantly made it take the shape of a familiar nine-tailed fox.

"Wow! that is so cool, can you make a fairy or a pony?" Miko asked excitedly he sadness and fears forgotten.

Naruto spend about a hour entertaining Miko before getting made he take a bath and eat some food to he disappointment, she was enjoying watching her brother use his power.

"It's time for bed, young lady. You want to grow up to be as beautiful as mom was, don't you? Then you need your beauty sleep," Naruto said as he put Miko to bed. She pouted but didn't resist; she was, of course, exhausted from the lack of sleep for two days.

Almost as soon as Naruto placed her on her bed, she was sound asleep to the blonde's amusement. He kissed her forehead and whispered a promise in her ear.

"I swear on our parents that I will protect you and make sure you live a happy life," Naruto said in a serious voice and left his sister, which was their shared room when their parents were alive. He moved into his parent's room after their deaths and of course tossed the mattress.

With his new ability Naruto started to see the light at the end of the tunnel, he would be able to provide for Miko and he was no longer powerless.

Flashback Scene End

Naruto was glad he got such a useful and powerful ability. He can disassemble and reassemble matter at will as long as he physically touches whatever he wants to affect.

Once he got his power Naruto was removed from the mines and made into a royal guard in the service of the royal family to his annoyance but he didn't show it as it gave him more privileges so he can better take care of Miko.

"Hey, what are you doing outside here by yourself," a female voice asked making Naruto turn to see Crystal his friend and secret lover.

How the blonde became the lover of one of the royal family was actually a funny story. It was back when he was assigned to be Crystal's guard; at first, Naruto didn't like her, just like the rest of the royal family, but her purity and innocence made him unconsciously open up to her.

"I was just thinking," Naruto replied and turned back to watching the earth, he didn't want to get Crystal involved in what he was planning which was basically treason.

"Sigh, I know you are worried about your sister but if she doesn't have any powers I will try to get my sister to get black bolt to get her a easy job outside the mines," Crystal said trying to cheer her secret lover up but with no success.

"I appreciate that," Naruto replied, not taking his eyes off the earth. He knew it would be next to impossible to change the way the inhuman people's system worked, so his sister would be sentenced to work in the mines.

Crystal didn't know what was going through the blonde man's head, but she made a promise to tell her sister about their relationship and have Naruto join the royal family. Hopefully, that would be enough to get Black Bolt to show mercy on Miko; he had done so for Maximus his brother in the past, so it was possible.

Fast Forward

As Naruto feared, Miko didn't have any power and the genetic council had sentenced her to work in the mines. However, he was rather die than let that happen.

"It is time to leave this place," Naruto said softly. His sister Miko had a look of devastation on her face because she was going to suffer the same fate as her parents, she thought. But her brother's words took her out of her dark thoughts; she didn't quite understand what he meant, but knew that he was going to do something drastic.

"Where are we going, big brother?" the thirteen-year-old asked as she tilted her head in confusion.

"Don't worry about that, go pack some clothes now and we will be leaving this place once and for all," Naruto replied as he went to collect his own things for the journey ahead.

Naruto watched his sister leave to her room and had to say that he wouldn't miss the rigid system that the inhuman society uses here, where your blood and ability determine your place.

The blonde had an idea on how to get to earth; he needed someone who can teleport, and he knew just the inhuman, Eldrac.

Fast Forward [Three Months Later]

New York City

Naruto looked around the human city, he chosed to live here with his sister because it was one of the places that Crystal had talk a lot to him about, the inhuman princess had a habit of sneaking of to earth using Lockjaw's ability and she would take book and magazines and share them with him.

The former shinobi knew that it was a risk coming here, but he was sure Crystal would understand why he had to leave and keep quiet. Even if she told Black Bolt that he might be here, New York was big enough place for him and his sister to remain hidden.

Naruto looked at his right arm, which was covered, and felt Eldrac underneath the bandages. He had used his power to merge the teleporter with his right arm, allowing the blonde inhuman to use the man turned living wall's power.

Naruto felt a little bad for having to do what he did to Eldrac but it was necessary to protect his sister, now the blonde inhuman had the power to teleport himself and other, he simply had to touch a solid surface and he can create a portal to anywhere he wishes.

It was a useful power. He used it to teleport and register himself and Miko as American citizens. He made them fake histories that were convincing enough to fool most people.

Naruto made his history as close to being true as possible just in case he had to answer any questions in the future.

He and his sister were born to Kushina and Minato Uzumaki in a small town in Texas. His parent was of Japanese descent, which explains their names. This led up to his parents dying in a car accident, leaving him and his sister behind. Naruto, being a legal adult, took custody of Miko.

Naruto also made it seem that their parents left them a huge fortune to explain their income, which was a result of his powers.

The blonde had sent Miko to human school to blend more efficiently. He had used his power to make diamonds from coal and sold them in Jewelry Store he opened making him a lot of money so he didn't have to worry about finances.

"Now I just have to pretend to be normal," Naruto said as he looked out the window of his jewelry store.

It would be a few months later but Naruto figure out that he wasn't made to live a normal life but thankfully there are heroes and people with special ability in this world so as long as he doesn't specifically use his power to disassemble and reassemble matter the inhumans would just think he is just another hero with superpowers.

Fast Forward

Naruto became a hero. His name was Shadow. He did not use his original Inhuman ability, but instead, the blonde used his inhuman physiology, which is stronger than a regular human, and his stolen power to create teleportation.

Naruto, in his hero persona, wore a costume similar to the ANBU black ops from his memories, but in all black, including the mask.

Naruto would go out patrolling while Miko would be asleep at home, he didn't want his little sister to worry about him but he couldn't pretend to be normal all the time, even in his last life he was always fighting and having adventures.

"Some please help me," Naruto heard a scream coming from a dark alley as he jump from on roof tops.

The blonde inhuman decide to investigate and found a young woman around his age being assaulted by three homeless looking men.

"Really, who is the genius who decided that walking through a dark alley alone at night was a good idea," Naruto thought as he watched the woman grab a near by pipe and started to swing it at the men but a punch to the face sent her to the ground.

"Shit," Naruto exclaimed as he jump down to the woman's rescue as he saw one of the men starting to pull the dazed woman's pants off.

Naruto swiftly took the men down with brutal efficiency making sure to break bones so that the men would think twice before doing something like this again.

"Hey, are you okay?" Naruto asked the woman, who looked surprised at his sudden appearance and her rescue.

"Do I look okay?" the woman snapped, but she stopped as she knew it was not the hero's fault that she was attacked. "Look, I'm sorry for yelling at you, but it has been a really bad day for me."

"I understand, do you want me to walk you home?" Naruto asked as he did understand getting attacked when you are not expecting it can make one feel agitated. The blonde watched the woman he saved look down with a sad expression.

"I don't have anywhere to go right now," the woman replied, making Naruto feel bad. He could have saved her before the men got too close to her, but he let himself get lost in thought "My name is Skye by the way."

Naruto looked at the woman called Skye and could see she had the same look that he had in his life as Naruto Uzumaki. She must be an unwanted orphan without any family, just like he was back then.

Naruto looked at the young woman and turned to leave, but her expression kept on flashing in his mind along with Iruka's. What if no one had extended a hand to him when he was at his lowest, Naruto thought.

"Do you want to crash at my place," Naruto asked as turned to face Skye, who looked at him with suspicion "I won't try anything, I promise."

"You know, saying that makes it harder to believe you," Skye replied. "Why would you offer a complete stranger somewhere to stay?"

"It's because you remind me of myself, an orphan with nowhere to go and no one wants you right," Naruto said making Skye flinch "and for me been a stranger, let me remedy that, my name is Naruto Uzumaki it's a pleasure to meet you."

Skye watched in shock as Naruto removed his mask and basically exposed his secret identity to her. She didn't know what to say, but she knew that her life just got a lot more complicated thanks to the hero in front of her.
