Chapter 2: The Lie We Live

Flashback Scene Ahead.

Elemental Nation [Konoha]

Naruto had just woken up with Hinata in his arms, he could vaguely remember things that he shouldn't have, he had knowledge of all that transpired since he and his wife had been sealed.

The blonde Kage is aware that one of the Juubi's fragments had sealed itself within him, now he is a vessel again, but not for Kurama.

Naruto looked at his reflection in a store window near him. He had the Rinnegan eyes and noticed he also had fingerless gloves on that looked similar to Code's claw marks on himself. This indicated that he must also have that ability.

The Uzumaki noticed his arm felt different and not in a bad way; it felt like his real arm and not the prosthetic arms he had been wearing. He guessed being the vessel of a Shinju must have regenerated his arm.

"Did the Divine tree absorb me or did Jura give his power to me for some reason," Naruto thought aloud, the more he thought about it, the less it made sense.

Naruto came out of his thoughts as the village was rocked by an explosion, the other three Divine trees were still attacking their targets.

Naruto created a clone and had it take Hinata to safety. He floated into the air, it seemed he had gained all the power of the ten-tails inside him.

The Uzumaki took a quick look into his mind and found that in place of Kurama was just a giant tree; it had claw marks all over, if Naruto had to guess after Jura entered him, his consciousness faded into his own, making him a kind of Otsutsuki offshoot.

"This isn't the time to think about it now. Let's find the closest Shinju." Naruto said to himself, nodding his head.

Naruto teleported to the Shinju that looked like Moegi. She was battling Konohamaru and was winning easily. It was to be expected. Naruto thought. The Sarutobi was not his powerful grandfather and more like his weak uncle.

The Uzumaki shook his head, he didn't know where the thought came from; it was like the shinju was whispering silently in his ears.

When Konohamaru was about to be killed, Naruto appeared between the Moegi look-alike called Matsuri.

The God Tree's name just came to him, but Naruto didn't dwell on it too much and attacked the surprised enemy with a devastating kick to the face, creating distance between them.

"Jura is that you," Matsuri asked as she sensed one of her kin in Naruto.

The Kage didn't bother answering and attacked, using his increased speed and strength, taking the shinju by surprise. She noticed that Naruto was much stronger than Jura, as her neck snapped from one of the blonde's blows.

Matsuri's neck instantly healed as she began to show her true nature, her face and body began to become more beast-like, with large, bulky arms and legs, and a mouth with sharp teeth.

"You damn human. I will peel the skin from your bones and wear them as I kill all of you." the now monstrous looking Matsuri roared.

"So you're not even going to pretend to be anything but a wild beast now," Naruto said as he watched the Shinju charge at him full of killing intent.

The blonde did move, but as soon as the God tree clone reached him, Naruto said two words that shocked Konohamaru, who was being treated by one of his friends' shadow clown, to the side.

"Almighty Push," Naruto said in a low voice, and the effect of his jutsu was instantaneous.

Matsuri was flung back by an invisible force, Naruto teleported to her using his new ability and watched as the Devine tree clone tried to heal herself.

"That's quite enough," Naruto stated as he shoved his hand into Matsuri's chest and out the back, absorbing her chakra to possess half of the Jubi.

Naruto felt his power growing but didn't dwell on it as he made his way to the next Divine tree clone, leaving Konohamaru behind wondering what had happened to his friend.

Flashback Scene End

Tokyo, Japan

Ai Hoshino, a famous idol, sat in her apartment, 6 months pregnant and showing. She was bored, as she was forbidden to leave her home in fear someone would recognize her and that she was pregnant, which could end her idol career.

The Idol rubbed her growing belly affectionately, she still didn't know if she was feeling love or some other emotion for her unborn babies, she was having twins according to her doctor.

The news blew her mind. She expected to have only one baby, not two. The doctor wanted to tell her the gender of her babies, but she refused. She wanted that to be a surprise.

The other thing she's been feeling a lot lately is regret and fear. This happens every time she thinks of her baby's father. Ai knew she would have to come clean to him one day, but she wasn't brave enough right now.

"I wonder if your father will be happy if I told him about you," Ai said to her pregnant stomach but shook her head. "He wouldn't be, I tricked him into sleeping with me, so there's no way he would be happy."

"Ai, I'm back with your treats," a female voice announced from the idol's front door.

"Miyako, thank you so much. I was craving honey buns just now." Ai said excitedly. The woman with her is Miyako Saito, Ichigo's wife and her friend.

"Yeah, yeah, I had to wait an hour to get these. The Kitsune Den was fine with people." Miyako said as she left herself fall back on Ai's couch.

"It tastes as good as I remember," Ai said as she ate her treats with a pleased look on her face.

Miyako looked at how Ai seemed to enjoy the admittedly delicious-smelling honey buns, and she reached for one, but before her hand could reach it, Ai bit her hand and put her treats away.

"Ouch, Ai, you bit me. Have you gone crazy?" Miyako exclaimed while checking her hand that had Ai's teeth mark in it. The idol was seriously biting with the intent to hurt her.

"This is mine. Get your own." Ai stated as she possessively held her baked goods.

Miyako looked at Ai in shock, she bit her for some baked goods. "I stood in line for hours to get those. At least, give me one."

"These are mine, go get your own," Ai said as she moved away from the older woman, still shocked by how Ai was acting.

"Listen here, brat. Give me one now or I'll take it by force." Miyako exclaimed, pissed off, as she wasted half a day to get Ai her baked goods, but the spoiled brat didn't want to give her even one of her treats.

Miyako took a step towards Ai, but stopped when she saw the idol starting to tear up. It looked like her pregnancy hormones were acting up.

"You are so mean, why are you bullying me? All I want to do is eat my buns in peace, and you are trying to steal that from me." Ai screamed loudly, making the neighbors hear as she cried.

Miyako cursed this was why she didn't want to look after Ai, as she was pregnant and had a lot of random explosive emotional outbursts, all of which she had to deal with and calm the young woman down.

Miyako swore that she would get her revenge on whoever knocked Ai up, thinking that the man should be dealing with this mess, not her.

"I'm sorry I didn't mean it, please stop crying," Miyako said as she tried to calm the idol down, like switching Ai to stop crying and continue to eat her buns like nothing happened.

"I think I am going to head home," Miyako said as she headed for the door. "If you need anything, don't hesitate to call Ichigo."

"I will thank you for getting those buns for me," Ai said cheerfully. "They are delicious as usual."

"By the way, I met this blonde-haired man around your age at the Kitsune Den. He asked about you." Miyako said as she watched Ai's expression change for a second, then nothing; it was like her mask she used as an idol fell, then she slipped it back on.ok.

"What did he ask about," Ai asked, not wanting to sound too eager.

"He just wanted to see if you're okay since you haven't stopped by recently," Miyako replied as she watched Ai carefully. "He was able to tell the order was for you by the exact amount I ordered."

"Oh, okay," Ai said before she got lost in her own world as she ignored Miyako and ate her buns as she touched her stomach.

Miyako seeing that Ai was in the mood to talk any more, left and closed the door behind her. This might be it. It was the first time Ai had acted that way when they were discussing possible fathers for her unborn children.

Ichigo had been trying to find the person who impregnated Ai, without success, which was surprising because the idol didn't share the company of many men, including other idols, the producer, and people in the industry.

Miyako put her phone down and called Ichigo, "I think I have a lead on who got Ai pregnant."

Fast Forward

Evening Time

Ichigo and Miyako stood outside the Kitsune Den. He had tried to dig up some dirt on this place, but all he managed to get was that it's a family business owned by Kushina Uzumaki and was runned by her son, Naruto Uzumaki.

There were almost too many clean records, the business itself was a huge success with people from all over the world coming to Japan just to get some pastries.

If Ichigo's guess is right, the business must be making millions of dollars every month. Now onto the reason he is here, it is to find the son of a bitch who impregnated Ai, the young woman who is like a daughter to him.

Miyako had told him about how Ai reacted when she brought up the topic of Naruto and it caused some suspicion to rise in both of them. Ichigo was very careful about the men he allowed around Ai, so it was nearly impossible for men in the idol industry to be the baby's father.

That just leaves the men Ai meets that are outside his sphere of influence like this Naruto. If that bastard is really the one who impregnated his daughter figure, he is going to make the poor son of a bitch wish he had never been born.

Miyako and Ichigo entered the establishment and were met with the sweet smell of baked goods almost making the man forget the reason he came here.

"Welcome to the Kitsune Den, what can I get for you," Naruto asked as he noticed the pair entering and greeted them.

Ichigo watched the blonde-haired young man and tried to intimidate him, but that failed as he only received an emotionless look and a quick dismissal from the blonde, who then focused on Miyako.

"Let me show you to an available table," Naruto said as he guided the couple to a table near a window. "Here is a menu. Call me when you are ready to order."

"Thank you," Miyako replied as Naruto went to another customer. The woman watched Ichigo as he stared at Naruto as if looking for something.

"I can see what Ai would be attracted to in him," Miyako said to Ichigo, who scowled deeply, "he is handsome, rich, and a gentleman."

"He wasn't such a gentleman when he impregnated Ai now, was he?" Ichigo replied, glaring at the blonde.

"Sigh we don't even know if he is the one responsible, so just calm down and let's order something, we can talk to him like civil human beings after he closes up."

"Fine, but if he did impregnate Ai, I am going to kick his ass." Ichigo said stubbornly, making Miyako roll her eyes.

"Yeah, yeah, whatever you say. Let's eat something. My mouth has been watering from all the delicious things I've been seeing other people eat." Miyako said to Ichigo as she watched the other customers devour their treats.

The couple called Naruto over and placed their orders, with Ichigo trying to intimidate the blonde, to Miyako's amusement.

It didn't take long for the orders to return. Miyako had a cheese cake, and Ichigo had a carrot cake. They took a small bite of their cakes and immediately they were in their own worlds.

The pair had never tasted anything this good, and that was saying something, as Ichigo was wealthy and had eaten from world-class chefs.

The couple forgot why they were there and devoured the cakes like starved wolves. Then they ordered some more, which kept going until Naruto told them he was about to close. Ichigo snapped back to his senses.

"Excuse me, young man, I have something I want to discuss with you. Can you spare a minute of your time?" Ichigo requested, but it sounded more like a demand.

Naruto watched the man for a second, he clearly didn't like him, as the blonde could feel the ill intent coming from him ever since the man entered the Kitsune Den.

"Let me clean up first, and then we can talk," Naruto replied as he turned around, not waiting for Ichigo to say anything that annoyed the man, who was not used to being treated like that.

"Who does that bastard think he is? Does he have any idea who I am?" Ichigo complained to Miyako, who sighed, her boyfriend kept on renting as Naruto ignored them and cleaned the Kitsune Den.

It would be half an hour later that Naruto would be sitting across from them with a fake smile that didn't reach his ice cold blue eyes. "You said you had something to say to me." Naruto inquired, his voice emotionless, making the couple shiver. But Ichigo shook the feeling off and glared at the blonde.

"My name is Ichigo and this is Miyako" Ichigo said as he looked at Naruto "I will cut to the chase. What is your relationship with Ai?"

Naruto looked confused for a second as he was bad with names now a day but he remembered one of his best paying customers who always ordered a large amount of Honey Buns. He hadn't been around recently, and if he remembered right, the woman at the table across from him had made an order for Ai some time earlier.

The Uzumaki had supposed Ai was feeling guilty about drugging him in order to make him sleep with her, but the truth was the drug didn't work, and Naruto slept with her in a moment of weakness.

That day was the anniversary of when he lost everything, so he had sex with Ai over and over until he felt better, thinking back on it, it might not have been the best thing to do, but it happened, and there was nothing he could do to change it.

Naruto guessed that Ai had been staying away out of guilt of drugging him, the blonde decided he would straight out the situation soon, she was after all a paying customer.

The blonde looked at Ichigo, who was answering, Naruto looked at the man dead in the eye, his words were clear: "Ai is a precious customer of the Kitsune Den. Is there a reason you want to know this?" Naruto asked, his eyes looking into Ichigo's soul.

"This is getting us nowhere, so I'll be more direct: Have you had sex with Ai?" Miyako asked, seeing that Naruto was as emotionally damaged as Ai, which must be what drew him to her if her guess is right.

Ichigo raised an eyebrow at his girlfriend's words, there was no way that the blonde would just admit that to two complete strangers.

"Yes, I had sex with Ai. We did it for several hours some months ago." Naruto replied, still with a fake smile.

The couple was stunned in shock at the blonde's words. There was a silent for several minutes. Then Ichigo shot out of his chair with his fist raised, screaming "die you bastard". He jumped at Naruto.
