Heya,

While polishing all that I did (adding VFX, sound effects and all..) I decided to add a throw mecanism to the game. It was already planned and fit nicely with the fact that you can now also hit at close range.

The idea here is that some hand-equiped items will be throwable to various effect. The rattle, for example, will get the same effect than a close-range hit : the NPC will get stunned for a few seconds.

I'm quite happy with how it render. The animation and the curve are quite smooth and with the added effect and sound, it feel good to hit.

This is a skill that is aimed to be versatile, and can be used in some mini games, but also in story situation. I've began to work on the story follow-up, and an event will lead you to having to throw stinky bombs in the library. So I can vary the area-of-effect and make more items like this.


Ultimately, I also want to retrofit the NPC in the haunted house and the hospital, so you can go back to it to get some stuff you missed and just have an easier time trying to sneak around!

As a side note, I think I'll push all the last changes in an update probably next week. While I didn't get everything I wanted finished up, I still got an healthy pack of content to propose so I prefer to stay in touch with my monthly timing.
