just to add some salt to the wound🕺, the novel that they're constantly referencing (the double suicide quote) features a girl that is sick and a boy who plays the piano that is in love with her. In the novel he plays ravel for her, ravel is a very famous composer, he has a piece called "pavane for dead princess", so when kousei says "you're not a princess, i'm not gonna play ravel for you" he's implying that she's not going to die. kaori seems to have a hard time expressing her feelings so she's letting the novel speak for her (in my opinion) but i'm glad that kousei is now in a better place to help her and let her know that her story could have a different ending and that she should still dream and long for what makes her happy, music. i love kousei's growth so much

notice how at the beginning of the show Kousei sees everything gray and she is full of color in his eyes but in those last scenes of the episode the violin was gray and the piano was colorful. Kaori is withering away as she lights up Kousei's world

The whole "Kousei and Nagi fighting with the piano" portion of the duet was a direct call back to when Kousei and Kaori played together. Kousei did it for Nagi sure, but also did it to remind Kaori of the time they played.
