If you had replayed that scene when Tsubaki was coming to talk with Kousei and he had loosen his tie you could faintly hear a heart beat. Meaning she was confused as to why she felt such a way and her confusion led to her happiness/disappointment that she is not pursuing the reason for that feeling by talking to him normally as a friend. In other words Tsubaki/Kousei ship lets go!

After watching episode 13 I just wonder... WHERE THE HELL IS THE DAD? He travelling? His wife is dying trying to teach their son skills to survive life like she is the only parent left in his life XD I'm sorry but this dad no dad.
