S1 is the least nerve racking season of haikyuu imo, so you better prepare yourselves lol. Tsukki is 188 cm tall Aone (#7) is 191 cm tall I love Aone he really is cute and a big softie, he just looks a little intense😆 And the great thing is, you don't even need a tragic backstory to make you like the characters. In the manga, at the end of the chapters are sometimes character info sheets with their height, birthday, ability parameters etc., and it also shows the current worry of the characters. We had Aones' info sheet during the chapters of this match and his current worry was "When he sits down on the train, no one ever sits near him" 😭 I was really surprised with Anges' reaction, saying "it's alright, it's alright" when Hinata messed up the serve and hit it out. Judging from his previous reactions I thought he would kinda react like Kageyama (just not as harsh) when it happened🤣

The MVP of this episode was definitely Ange, whose brilliantly written character arc turned him from hating Aone to realizing he’s just one big adorable bean. Now you realize that in this show (as to quote from Vinland Saga): “You have no enemies.”

I love to see how quickly the rival Teams grow to your heart ^^. If I remember it right a libero (Noya) is not allowed to be captain of a team. They changed the rules but I think the manga is completed prior to that change.

This is why to this day I think Haikyuu is the best sports anime. The way it draws you in the matches, as you said, like a real spectator and gradually helps you understand the sport itself is unparalleled.
