I think it might also be important to note that Askeladd, while claiming to hate the Danes, isn't in it to just oppose the Danes, but even more so may want to ensure the safety of his people (Whales), at least that's how I interpret that specific scene. After watching this episode again with you guys, I realize that Askeladd is forthcoming about so much more information than I had initially thought. This episode is so good, and it seems to show that Askeladd is more than just a fortune hungry, ruthless Dane. There is much more to come, and this story just gets better and better. Hope you two are doing well! As always, your reactions remain a comfort for me :) You two are so good at picking up certain elements of this, and it's a treat to watch each episode with you guys.
