Megumi is from the Zenin clan. That's one of the big three powerful clans. He just doesn't associate himself with them, that's why he goes by Fushiguro. You'll learn more about him in the future... he's the most interesting character in my opinion. With the most potential too. And I guess Sukuna thinks the same lol. It's the biggest question that goes around in the fandom. how insane is Megumi's potential and why is the main villain so obsessed with him

Apparently he does actually go on a lot of dates in cannon. The author said whenever you see him wear his glasses with normal clothes on, he either has a date or is about to go to one. It’s just some of the sorcerers who know him on a personal level that don’t like him, like maki, utahime, higher ups, etc, since they find him annoying

I think Gojo simply recognizes Miwa as being his "type", not necessarily that he would go for HER specifically. Teacher-student relations and all that. Just his idea of a favorable personality in a partner. He likes nice girls, not mean ones (which is basically all the rest of them lmao).
