FULL-LENGTH REACTION GUIDE

We along with many other content creators take copyright law very seriously, so you will have to sync up our reaction to your own version of the show/movie. To help, we will have the episode subtitles on screen at all times to help you sync up with us.

Any instances in which you see the screen cut, means we’ve had technical difficulties or have skipped an intro to the show. (We sometimes have to do this to avoid spoilers). This means you may need to sync up agin but usually we’re able to edit these cuts seamlessly into the next scene. This should not occur more than once or twice in the video.

Any scenes that contain extremely explicit content such as nudity will also be skipped over in these reactions.

Anytime we pause, there will be timer/countdown on screen to prompt you. So if we’re about to pause, there’ll be a countdown, and you are expected to pause as the number reaches 0. The same will happen when we press play after pausing. You will press play as the number reaches 0. We try not to pause most of the time anyway, so this will be a rare occurrence in these reactions.

These reactions DO NOT include our intros and discussions. You will have to refer to the original edited version of the video.

We hope you enjoy the video!

Here we were, the three of us reacting to the most intense scene at the end there. And they just get up at the end and leave me😭

Anders Pike

Seemed like you didn't quite get the reason Reiner was freaking out at first. Eren described how the building above them was full of civilians, then revealed he was already prepared to transform. He wasn't threatening "do what I say or I'll attack you", he was threatening "do what I say or I'll transform and kill ALL the civilians". And in the end, he did just that, killed dozens, maybe even a hundred with his transformation alone, and didn't care if Reiner and Falco died in the process. The fact that he always intended to go through with it was foreshadowed the whole time because he kept saying he and Reiner were the same. If you remember, even though Reiner did grow genuinely attached to the people on the Ilsand, in the end he still decided to attack Trost because he needed to for his mission. Here while we don't know what it is yet in this episode, Eren is saying even though he now knows the people of Marley and Liberio are just like the people in the walls, he's still willing to slaughter innocents to achieve his goals, which is what makes him no different than Reiner (at least the Reiner of 4 years ago).

I am team Reiner btw, since Reiner was a child and had really no choice, he regrets what he did every day, he feels guilty and wants to die. Eren is a 20 y.o with the brain of a newborn baby… He keeps moving foward without thinking, he’s an eternal teen

Zyrus

Reiner had the choice to defect when he realized what was happening in the walls. He didn't. No sympathy on my end.

Anders Pike

It's not a zero sum game where you pick your side. Reiner did horrible things, and as we're seeing he's living with the pain and guilt of having done so. But none of that excuses Eren from doing the same horrible things. Reiner clearly doesn't think anymore that what he did was justified, but by knowing the consequences and still acting, Eren DOES think he's justified, which makes him at this moment at least far more culpable for his actions.

Peter Wyatt

Eren and Reiner seem to be on complete opposite spectrums. Eren is all about moving forward. Reiner is haunted by his sins/regrets, and therefore, looks backwards. Reiner looks back on his memories at the island, within this episode, while Eren, through his mind games he played with Reiner, proved he was one step ahead of him. One step ahead, while Reiner must face a harsher obstacle, being his mind, because he's the one who took the first step. That first step being what started this entire series, when the wall was broken.

@Zyrus If you defect, your family in Marley is screwed. You have no sympathy for someone because they don't want their family to be murdered? Defecting isn't a legitimate option.
