Ange, I love your Hisoka theme. But as a guitarist myself, I'm curious. There are number of sustained notes in that piece, especially early on. Is there a reason you opted not to use vibrato on those? I feel that would have made a nice big feel and attachment for the piece (at least for me). Also, do you pull the low end out of your guitar recordings? Just questions from one guitar brother to another. I'm not on your level of skill and I'm just curious.

Can't speak for Ange but as someone who has recorded in studios before I know it's common to pull the low end out of the guitar's EQ so that it "cuts through" the mix more. The guitar's role is NOT low-end (unless you're doing a sparse 1/2 instrument arrangement with a singer) and that job is usually left for the bass guitar. If you look up stems of a lot of famous classic rock songs, you'll find that a lot of rhythm guitar tracks that use distortion often sound SUPER THIN outside of the context of the song but when listened to WITH the rest of the tracks, the guitar then sounds huge.
