The foot getting cutt off instead of Zeff eating it, is one thing they censored in the anime. There are moments in the anime that are censored in order to make it more suitable for TV.

interesting fact about censor in OP: in the anime they show zeph loosing his legs to save sanji when the ship drown but in the manga zeph actually cut of his own leg and eat it so he can give all the food to sanji.
