My first time watching it, the entire ending felt rushed. A couple years ago I learned that it WAS rushed, because CN (apparently, idk for sure) said Ruby and Sapphire could get married, but then the show is canceled. And other countries are very anti-LGBT, like Ruby in other countries may have a male voice. So how did they get around that to make it still an LGBT wedding? Make Ruby wear a dress. They went from lesbian wedding to cross dressing lol (or drag? idk). And also made it where you can't skip airing an episode because major plot shit happens (ie - diamonds showing up in the reception). So nowadays I accept the rushed ending, because it gave us an amazing LGBT wedding in a kids show. PS - Not 100% sure how accurate it is, but I've seen it discussed on the SU subreddit sooo
