And now for something COMPLETELY DIFFERENT! 

I've been working on this CAPTAIN KATHRYN JANEWAY digital figure for some time now. She's finally done, and I just felt like sharing her with you. 

CAPTAIN JANEWAY, portrayed by the always-wonderful KATE MULGREW is, of course, the Captain from STAR TREK VOYAGER, my personal favorite of all the Star Trek series. With everything that's going on in my family these days, I've needed serious comfort, and watching VOYAGER always helps me unwind, refocus my thoughts, and get through my shit. I often joke that it's cheaper than therapy! LOL! It means THAT MUCH to me. 

After years of being unjustly maligned, I think that the show is FINALLY getting the recognition it deserves. I began my latest rewatch of the series, from the beginning, in mid-March, and I am THOROUGHLY loving every brilliant moment. 

For my own fun and mental health, I decided to draw a CAPTAIN JANEWAY digital figure, inspired by the work I've been doing with the HOMOCLIX line. I even enlisted Hernán for the colors. We both enjoyed working on her very much. She remains one of my personal favorite heroines of all time, and I really don't ever see that changing. 

You always say you want to see what I'm up to, and I figured this might be a fun glimpse into my more "personal" art stuff. I hope you'll enjoy how she turned out. Oh... and she may have a friend or two show up to keep her company down the road!
